There used to be a sticky on the official forums rant's section stating that there was a back up to DVD everyday between 7 and 7:30 AM GMT.

 

 

 

Since the incident occured out of UK office hours the last back up would have almost certainly been in offsite storage, and would likely have been unrecoverable until office hours began again, as such you would be talking about losing at least 26 hours of play time for either all P2P players or all players, depending on hour the database is set up.

dude jagex doesnt even care whathappens to players. there like cigarette companys you get addicted and they know you will come back. err i think that was the right analogy.. but anyways they dont care what a few players think .

I completely agree I never got any acual help from jagex or it's mods. The bug was ENTIRELY their fault and as us being paying customers they should of done something about it, how about an official apology? I dont care that I make those 5$/month in 15 mins of my work It's still business!

hers my opinion, they cant rollback he time,but at the same time they cant give our items back as stated earlyer, many ppl could just as easy say they lost sumthing, i lost a whip yeti aint givin up, i think they should perm ban him and drop his items all over world 111, as us aussies copped most of it. and was also on that world

if they dont reset im quitting this game for good. i did not even lose anything. i would quit even if all it ment was they lost 5 dollars a month from me. i just cant play a game for people that care so little for players.

Bye. They do care. Which is why they won't be resetting. That would be completely stupid. A few people lost some things. I didn't lose anything, as well as most of the rest of the RS population, making everyone lose all their items instead of a few people lose a few items? No.

 

 

 

The person, or people, that pk'd others like that are being punished. Banned, whatever they do. Get over it and move on with life.

I think it's only you that feels this way. If they did a reset, a lot more would be lost than would gained. 100's of 1000's of people would be losing millions of xp and cash, there would be a hell of a lot more complaints if they did a rollback than if they didn't, only a few people (maybe 200max) were a affected, a rollback would affect about 2-4million people, is that really fair?

They dont care about party hats....they never wanted party hats to become what they have. Im sure if it wouldn't cause a bunch of crybaby little boys to quit they would drop them again or put in a rares store. Besides what if there is really no way to prove you lost your hat this way? If they give one person their hat and that person spreads it do you even realize how many emails they would get from people saying I lost my hat.

 

 

 

Exactly! I believe it was for a short time all holiday items were nontradeable because Jagex didn't like people profiting off of fun holiday items.
