if they dont reset im quitting this game for good. i did not even lose anything. i would quit even if all it ment was they lost 5 dollars a month from me. i just cant play a game for people that care so little for players.

They need to reset because a few people lost there items? No, I don't think so.

Do you realize if they did a rollback it would go all the way to the last update? Meaning when construction came out. It would make a worse effect to take everyones achievments in the last week then to give back the items of the probably 200 or so people that died to durial.

They dont care about party hats....they never wanted party hats to become what they have. Im sure if it wouldn't cause a bunch of crybaby little boys to quit they would drop them again or put in a rares store. Besides what if there is really no way to prove you lost your hat this way? If they give one person their hat and that person spreads it do you even realize how many emails they would get from people saying I lost my hat.

Its not their fault, that people started l8r than others... People that have partyhats been playing for like over 2-3 years. Why would Jagex reset all that?

I would be very upset if the did a rollback, i would lose alot of xp as would alot of others. So if you just cant live with the mistake that jagex made then just quit. I could understand if you were the one that lost the phat but to just make a statment that your going to quit because of something that minor, then quit :roll:

first of all who desided that they can only reset to the last time they updated.. and even if that was the case which it is not, the last update was the day of the insident.. (not to mention there are updates we dont know about that happen all the time..)

 

 

 

secondly, it takes im guessing everyone thats posted so far is a new player with no hope of ever getting a partyhat because if you had one like i did and know how much time it takes to get them, then you would agree with me, that anything short of a reset is uneceptable

So a maximum of 2000 peeps who lost items are more important than 100000 peeps who will lose exp and the drops they got meanwhile? i dont think so!

Jagex doesn't have to roll back, In the vid there were mods telling you to leave, if you didn't leave thats your own fault..There were hundreds of people just wanting to be killed..

So lets see... How many members do we have? Well we have a little over 150,000 players on right now, and that is (let us estimate) probably around one sixth of the players in runescape (not counting second accounts, many people have pures, and most are non mems). So, if there were 150,000 people on during the world 111 scare, then only about 1145 people would have been in world 111, however, due to cursed you's party, let's add another 200 people. The sections of the world affected to my knowledge (rimmington, falador, and edgeville) that were affected were only like 5% of the world really, so add that 200 people that came just for cursed you's party, and we have like 700 people? now, since darial only killed a few people really, lets say that one in a dozen people actually lost something of value (a very generous assumption, i think), that means that only like 60 people could have been seriously hurt from this. so out of that 900000 members we assumed earlier, 60 were affected, and you want a rollback? No.

 

 

 

These numbers were just my LOOSE estimates, but if you think about it, it still is only a few people out of a million or so, and it wouldn't be fair.

As I posted earlier, that's not exactly possible unless they have soem technology we dont' know about, since anyone can claim to have lost anything, people could have even dropped a party hat, had a friend pick it up, and if the option for jagex to compare old banks with new ones came up, people who prepared well enough knowing it was a possibility could profit off of it. Not that that's a real issue, but the main idea is that it just isn't feasible to return everything, and as of now it's been too long to actually roll the game back. If they were to do anything it would have been within the hour of it happening.

i wonder what would happen if they did a roll back to the day before because some ppl lost there stuff oh i feel bad for them but then everyone else would lose everything they did that day what matters more to jagex 2000 ppl or 10000

You are wrong, i have owned many phats in my time, and if i had wanted to i could get one. Im not showing off by saying that either. I would be upset if i lost it yes, but everyone makes mistakes and jagex tried to do the best they could. If you really have this many problems with the game then just quit. The small amount of players affected compare nothing to the choas that would be caused by a rollback

Jagex will not roll back, they never do, the carnage that would be caused by doing so is colossal, and personally I'd hate to see the bug that would make them roll back.

 

 

 

Oh and they are capable of doing a roll back Adam, there is a sticky in the rants section of the official forums, stating that the database is backed up to DVD 7am GMT each day.

lol okay bye. You say they don't care about their players, yet look at how massive the game is, and updates once a week, and the support team is good compared to other games, and the forum is actually monitored.
