im f2p pure range/mage

 

so im wonderin... whats a really cheap way and fast of getting 70 mage

 

and if u say using curses or teles

 

1. cant afford thousands of laws

 

2. buying thousands of bodies,earths,waters, gonna kill me and using curses is slow :?

 

 

 

is there any other way?

casting fire bolt, but thats expensive to

 

maybe high alching, but in f2p there arnt manny good things to alch

the cheapest is casting the lowest fire spell, but thats going to take long

problem with superheating is that... u need the smithing lvl to make the bars

Super Heating would be good for f2p. You have a 100% chance of making an iron bar if you superheat. Just mine the iron, superheat it, sell the bars. And since construction just came out people are buying the bars for alot.

what does construction do anything with iron bars?

Just buy a lot of minds and airs, get a fire staff, go to Karajama and mage the lessers there.

rune craft minds and airs. Buy a fire staff. Fire strike. Its fast and easy and good xp. When ur rc gets higher u get capable of craftin multiple runes per ess.

I'm currently finishing off 15k fire bolts.

You really should try doing failed Curses...

 

 

 

The best mind rune based spell, Firestrike, averages about 18 mage exp per cast.

 

Curse always gives 29 mage exp per cast.

 

 

 

So, Curse will always be faster exp than any Mind rune based spell.

 

 

 

Also, the Body altar is a lot closer to a bank than the Mind altar.

 

You can make the Earth runes (close to the Varrock east bank) and cast with a water staff.

 

Or, reverse it, make water runes and cast with an earth staff.

Plus bodies will get you more RC xp than minds and earths more than airs.

 

 

 

Also curse does not have to be slow if you set yourself up to fail (full armour and leather vambraces - any kind as it makes no difference) you can cast multiple times against the same npc. The skeletons across the water in varrock sewer are good for this I hear. Or the caged mage in varrock palace.

Fire Bolt costs about 6 gp per mage exp earned.

if you buy all of the runes. Otherwise, it's free exp if you make the runes.

Cursing is cheaper, but I can't stand it. My hands start to hurt before long.

 

 

 

If curses could be autocast, then I'd definitely do it. But my hands just can't stand cursing.
