Good idea. I once had to report G Man147 (5 spaces).

i had to report something like O0oo03o404830---just a bunch of numbers

It should also be in the chat window, in case they say something and you can't find them fast enough, like if you're walking past and they slip off the edge of the screen, you could report them through the chat window instead of having to trek back and try to find them again.

I have trouble clicking when i'm tired. And most likely when i'm trying to trade or follow i will end up clicking report abuse. Which would be VERY annoying...I don't know how you guys have trouble reporting somebody...during a trade just remember to look at THEIR NAME!!!

Not a bad idea, but i dont really agree with the 4th person option when you right click on someone, because some people may lag, and accidently click on the button to report them. But i do agree with sending a message to a mod for a mute request though.

yes and thats y the report abuse screen comes up and u have to click the rule they broke this screen is like the second trade screen and it acts as a comfermation screen

there have been similar threads on this for an "examine player" option. Although I think that this idea is actually a better use for a 4th right click option, it would just end up clogging up the main screen. It's pretty hard trying to find someone at a bank when there are a lot of people standing on the same spot, and this is even worse trading on world 2. Having the extra option would lead to a lot of frustration on busy/laggy worlds, with the report screen popping up all the time, and you might not even get all the people on that spot.

I don't think it's that hard to type the name. Most names aren't that long - if you run into auto-ers they're not going anywhere so why the rush to report so fast?

I like the idea but I see problems with the send a message to a mod for muting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but....

 

 

 

1. It would be very hard to code it so that it sent the report to different modes who are online so that the mods would be swamped with reports.

 

 

 

2. People would be sending reports(Even valid just ones. I suppose there could be punishments for abusing the system, which would cut it down alot.) all of the time to mods, so they'd be swamped anyways.

 

 

 

3. The mods would have to look through each report, and decide whether or not it's valid, and unless they coded a way for you to send proff, they would have to take the reporters word that the reportee actually broke the rules. That would take forever for the mods, and would take away almost all of their playing time.

An idea for the first part when you click on the report abuse button it says 'select player' like if you were trying to cast a spell on them or use an item on them. Then it would open the report screen with the name already in it.

I think its a good idea although I aggree that some people may accidentally press it and report an innocent person I'd think that you'd just press report abuse and then a small screen show up where u could either click on the abuser's character or type in their name
