Help plz....

I'm on my laptop because my pc has a admistrator pass. But I forgot the pass. Since I was on vacation for a month I don't know the pass. If it was simple pass I would know it. But its too big with numbers. Is there anyway to pass this?

Theres an easy-ish way do it.

 

 

 

This is assuming that the PC is running XP

 

 

 

While your PC is starting (while the bois is still on) hold down the F8 Key until you get the option to use safe mode, start in safe mode then click on the account labled administrator.

 

 

 

Then go to run and type lusrmgr.msc

 

 

 

Click on users

 

 

 

Then right-click on to the name of the account you want to reset and click set password type a new pass and click ok

you wouldnt be able to edit an Administrators password using the Local Security Policy Manager unless you were already logged in as an Administrator

Like albosky said, if you could do that anybody could simply change an administrators password. I dont know what to tell you besdies, if your responsiable enough to have the Admin Password, you should be responsiable enough to write it down

most administrator passwords are left blank, its only if one is set in the windows set up that this wouldn't work.

You should'nt even have to write it down. All you need to do is set a password that you can remeber. Its commen sense that you set something that you will remeber. You remeber your password for RuneScape, Tip it and any other passwords you use, so why not the most important password, the logon?
