Merchanting is one of the most posted topics. There are numerous guides on here and the RS forums. Chewy Shoe has a good one on rune merching on this forum, I can't be bothered to find it, use search.

 

 

 

Raising mage is notoriously expensive to do. Alching yew longs is ta good way to do it cheaply. BTW Noctis suggested you buy nats which I would imagine is quite easy, even with 1 def. Otherwise you could craft them by a number of different methods, again there are guides.
