you buy low sell high that is what merchanting is

For example, you buy Death runes from Pest Control shop for like 180-220gp ea, and then you sell them for 280gp-300gp ea.

its just : buying for cheap , selling for much so u make profit \

o geez, cuz u can really learn how to be a good merchant from a guide, correct?

 

 

 

simple merchanting that is in guides is ussually just as easy learnt by yourself. For example, merchanting stackables...yeah, pretty much just find out the min and max price they sell for and buy for the min and sell for the max...

they dont push em up as much as they keep the price range low..

 

 

 

ie if no one merchanted the price range of pure ess would prolly be like 20-150...but instead its about 60-70 ea

Merchanting is a skill. People who think they are going to merchant and mr than most people think (merchanting millionake big money from guides are kidding themselves. Merchanting is alot hardes worth of items). So it all comes down to practice, and a fair bit of brains.

 

 

 

There are so many wanna-bee merchants out there now its pathetic. :roll:

I personally don't merchant because I do not like to rely on others in any way in the game, but I know it is one of the most effective ways to make money. You don't even need that great of a saving before hand: just work your way up. It is, however; much riskier than other methods of making money, but not much unless you are really unknowledgable.

No thanks, if we help more people into being merchants it will drive prices up, if everyone is buying low then trying to sell high the high price will end up being the only price then they will raise that price.

In English please, I think you've pushed the insert button, press it again. On topic, as everyone has said, merchanting is basically buying low, sellin high, no guides tell you anything but the simple methods, to really make money you need to teach yourself, and that takes ages, I don't think it's worth, mainly because merchanting doesn't go on the high scores and it takes longer than any other skill to become good at.

Drop Trader *cough*, they just lie to you and say that they made it all on that account. Btw, I welcome more merchants, the more merchants, the higher the demand for phats, seeing as most merchants want/have them, which = higher prices for me. :wink:
