We might even run out completely. This will destabilize, er, destroy world markets. 2) The quality of cheaply available weaponry will get more and more sophisticated, until terrorrists have access to nuclear weapons. These two processes will not destroy the world, but as they build, they will reach a breaking point and civilization as we know it will be destroyed.
