June 24, 200620 yr hobbies are hobbies ive spent 180+ on a box of football cards. so i can see why people pay 15 a month for an mmorpg. if you can afford it without going without a basic need, its easy to justify 15 a month for a luxary. "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln
June 24, 200620 yr -Runescape (eh... not sure how long as I ended up playing in between some of the others) -Asheron's Call (6 months) -Star Wars Galaxies (two years, right up until they announced the NGE. IfSOE hadn't refunded my expansion pack, I'd never played another SOE game ever again.) -World of Warcraft (8 months and counting) -This message was deviously brought to you by:
June 24, 200620 yr Well I've really only played Runescape, I watched my friend play WoW and once I get a new computer Im gonna be playing WoW. Now the cost for WoW isnt that bad because your first month of play is free (by this time you probably know if you want to keep going or not). Then you pretty much get "expansions" every now and then (such as the Patch 1.11 for WoW) which could cost 10-20 dollars retail, but they dont release them every month though. Honestly though which would you rather have a game with just 1 race, 20 some skills, and 100+ quests for $5 dollars a month. Or a game with 8 races (soon to be 10), 9 classes, 12 professions, and hundreds of quests for $15 a month? I know which one I'd want.

Umm the patches are not real expansions, just small fixes and mini addons. You dont even pay for them, you just download. There is an expansion coming out next month (i hope,i freaking put a downpayment on it) and it is called "The burning crusade". Will have two new races, and a new proffession. June 25, 200620 yr $15 per month equals to $180 a year. That's still quite a bit of money no matter how you try to justify it :? As compared to $360 to $480 a year, it's *very* justifiable COmpared to what? :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
