At what level are you a high level

It is easy with a normal skill when you can do everything, easily or not you are a high level.

I can fletch magic long bows that is the highest thing you can do with fletching so I am a high level, OK I am only level 86 but I can still do everything fletching, a level 99 fletcher can not fletch anything that i cant.

Theiving I am level 83 I can not thieve elves so I am a fairly high level.

I am level 79 agility I have enough tickets for 80 but I am saving for the full 1k, although I can not do all shortcuts I am in the top 1200 so I consider myself as a high agility player.

I am level 106 combat, at lumbridge I am often the highest level there so I am a high level.

When I fight gargoyles at the slayer tower I am often the lowest level there so I am a low level.

A friend asked me how to get anti dragon breath pots, I said he should ask a high level player if he had any he wanted to sell, he said he thought I was a high level player.

I know its all relative but at what stage do you see a player as a high level and why.

Different skills mean that some high levels may be low levels for other skills. I would say being in the top 1,000 of a skill would classify as being a high skill.

I lean towards the oppinion of the first poster. I consider "high level" not depending on the top 1k, 10k or whatever, but on what you can do with that level. For me, a player with 75 woodcutting is as high level as one with 99. I'll consider the latter a top player, envy or congratulate him/her, but 75 woodcutting is enough to do anything you wanted.

However, the "high level" business it's very relative. Generally high-levels are considered based on the combat level, as this is what is directly visible in game. This only highlights what everyone before me agreed on: "high level" is not an absolute notion, but something relative to a skill (or combat). We thus say "high level in.... something".

Moreover, I actually use another expression "high enough level in something to be able to ..." It all depends on the finality. My fishing level (72) is not high enough to fish sharks, but high enough for my purposes (fish my training food - monkfish). And so on...

To cut it short.. everything is relative, including being a high level :)

103 combat | 1M+ xp in each skill (lvl73) | 1800+ skill total | quest cape

Level 86 herblore, 85 farming

top 100k IMO (aren't i generous)

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Hmm as its said its all relative. For example most people do not have above 53 thieving, so its actually rare to see anyone with 60, though its not till the 70s it becomes of much use.

For many of the "secondary" members skills people will only train to a certain level as it is required for a quest, so usually 10 levels above that is high leveled. It also depends on the skill, fletching is easy to train. 60 fletching is nothing, 60 prayer however....

Pi Stoff for example has high fletching thats agreable, he can make the best thing for that skill, at the same time anyone with 70+ agility and thieving I'd consider as extremly high leveled in that skill, as they are hard and unpopular skills to train. At the same time killing gargoyles is still pretty high leveled as most people stop at 55 slayer.

So I'd say if you are 10 or so levels above the top level for most people, you are actually high leveled. (Although this does mean people with 15 farming are high leveled... :| )

I realy wanted to know what you consider a high combat level, the resaon being that I have noticed how considerably more difficult it is to increase levels, the difference between level 125 and 126 is quite likely to be the same as getting from 3 to 120, it is a tremendouse achievement, I do not know the exact figures but it is something very substantial.

I am a long way off that magical number 126 i am approaching but not quickly.

But carry on with your skill high levels it has turned out quite interesting.

Yea I know it is in the wrong forum but someone moved it here, I dont need help or advice I just want and value your opinions.

It's all relative. If you are a newcomer to the game, a level 40 looks pretty high. As you play, you realize that there are some skills which you can easily reach 40 in a day of work (construction, woodcutting, firemaking, fishing, cooking, etc.). Similarly, some skills are very difficult to work (slayer, farming).

There are "standards", but they are based upon common goals of many runescapers.

Many like 85 mining, because you can then mine runite. As a level 79 miner, this is a very hard skill to reach unless you are dedicated to mining.

Many like 76 fishing, to catch sharks, or 80 cooking, to cook them. There are tons of possible end goals, but what you consider high today will change when you get there. Once you reach that goal, 99 may become the new "high".
