I was hacked by someone about 7 months ago so i stoped playing. I started playing agian just 4 days ago and when i tried to log in on 1 of my accounts it was locked for negative credit. I've never had a membership nor have i ever wanted one. So I'm assuming the hacker put a membership on it, used it, refused to pay for it and changed the password back. Now that I'm Playing agian I have no way to contact jagex without geting automated messages regarding password suport.

 

I have no clue were to contact A PERSON! I've tried sending messages 6 times now and got the same response back EVERY TIME!!!!!!!!!

 

I have no clue what to do now,who to contact!

Your first mistake was that you waited 7 months to contact Jagex about your character being stolen, after that everything went down hill for you. Just from that one mistake, I dont think your going to be able to get your character back. Sorry but life bites hard sometimes... just know when to bite back.. :)

It will wreck your account, but at least the payments aren't in your hands...unless you have some way that he knows information that would lead to you paying... :?

besides, this should be in the help & advice board.

he didnt lose his account, just pay for the back members credit owed, and youll probably get the account back with more lvls on it than you started with, cause if he bought members, probably lvled some skills for you, depends how much credit your negative to see if its worth getting back, also this is a huge sentence.

First of all you shouldnt have let yourself get hacked, this just encourages them to do it again.

 

 

 

Have a look on the high scores and see if they put a lot of work on your account and got you good skill increases.

 

 

 

If they have and you are happy with it pay the outstanding amount, Jagex wont let anyone go more than one month over without payment so it shouldnt be that much unless they used a fraudulent credit card.

 

 

 

If your not happy dont pay and use another of your accounts.

 

 

 

I think it was very nice of them to change your password back, they obviously had a conscience so you may find a party hat or 2 in your account as compensation.

u can get ur account bak by using password recovery- i have twice

 

(grrrrrrrrrrr) but it is always better 2 take the time 2 set recovery questions-u should hav done this the day u got hacked

i recommend to put some "fake" answers to questions got hacked because my friend knew my questions answers(irl friend)

 

also suggest that you try to get your password changed through the questions!

 

 

 

edit:notice that you should write these answers up somewhere, maybe in your diary if its locked :lol: i personally keep my answers inside a book...

Same thing happened to my cousin. When he finally got through to jagex, they told him the only way to recover my account was to pay it out, so i kinda helped him :D... You have to use pay by cash, so paypal is out of question. You also will never be able to use a credit card :( they won't trust you. The easiest way (in my opinion) is to mail the money to them...

good news all. With a bit of time and effort, jagex unlocked my account and removed a credit card ban. so now if i wanted the membership i could have a membership on it. btw Thanks for the advice for the future.
