July 1, 200620 yr I would suggest setting aside some cash to upgrade memory. I am assuming that you would buy a pair of the 512's? That'd be a nice boost. Try scrounging around if possible-- I got my last 256 MB DDR 400 from a friend. He was going to donate it. I am not positive if the other two are DDR 400s, but if they are, I am running 768 MB at DDR 333 speed (due to motherboard limitations). What's your power supply? You didn't say whether or not you would keep the existing drive or not. With sufficient power, I would use the new drive as a secondary data drive, unless you're doing a lot of gaming and need more memory on the main drive.

IMO, if you can save up more money towards your PC I would, but I don't know what kind of gaming you do (if at all realy). :)

But if all you need it for is the general stuff, 300gb is huge overkill when you could be saving for a new PC.

July 3, 200620 yr hmm ok you got 80$ left, this ones going to be hard. On one hand, you need a new processor (1.1ghz... eek). However, anything that would be close to an upgrade wouldn't help. You also are in dire need of a video card, but would need a bit more money for a worthwhile investment. (and you only have PCI/AGP slots so getting a new card would be almost pointless atm because it would get outdated fast and start outdated. However, 256MB of ram.
