unknownmasterofnothing
Does anyone play tennis? I started a few days ago and somewhere in my hand is strained cause of improper grip and I didn't use my legs for power. But I've gotten used to tennis now. Had to adjust from table tennis, which uses more wrist. Also is anyone watching wimbledon? I'm rooting for sharapova and federer to dominate. And was hoping for underdogs nadal and na li. Bubsa
I've always been kind of divided on tennis. On one hand, I think it's a great athletic sport, with great drama. Looking back to rivalries like Connors and McEnroe and the way Federer plays is just art. Poetry in motion. Beautiful. Then on the other hand, there's this toffy, middle class English image stuck with Tennis, which really detests me. And I can't see people at the LTA really making any effort to change it. It seems too exclusive to those with money and heritage, in England. That's why I loved the Williams' sisters rise to prominence. A family from a tough neighbourhood, learning on hard, uneven courts, and a family coached by a devoted father. That's the essence of many great sports, but not British tennis, I'm afraid. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Pfft, Li was no match for our Clijsters :) Next match: Clijsters-Henin AGAIN. Darn it, they always meet eachother in the last rounds, I'd like to see another Beglian finale again. As for the men: Federer deserves to win, and he most likely will. Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. adthegreat-
I could have gone on Monday but what with the heat and not buying tickets beforehand i didnt. My parents did go and they said it was good even though they didn't get to watch any 'Internationally known' players. And I'm not really rooting for anyone to win this year, I haven't made up my mind whether i really like Nadal or not, so I supose I'm hoping Hewit will do it. Sure, Nadal might be quick during points but...in...between...points...on...his...service...he...is...as...slow...as...this...post. Federer plays tennis of the immortals. I'm beginning to think he may be more machine than man. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

logic-is-overrated
When ever I see Federer play tennis, it makes me want to play tennis. He just makes it look so easy. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

Oy_the_Great
Anyone seen today's Federer-Ancic game? He wasn't as divine as usual, but still loads better than a well-playing Ancic. Mr_Putter
I used to play tennis, and take lessons and such. Then I realised I really had no interest in it, so I quit. (I started because my family made me, that's pretty much how everything in my life has gone so far). It's positively torturous to watch on TV...Perhaps my least favourite sport to watch...So boring, so long and it's basically the same thing over and over (I also dislike basketball for the same reason). jackalope14
I have played tennis for a few years now and am playing on my JV team at school. Its a great sport :P . Unfortunately I didnt get a chance to watch wimbledon but I always love watching it when I can. Btw, I remember posting a thought provoking tennis debate a long time ago. In fact here it is: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=254827&highlight=tennis+ball

How2PK
I think Federer is going to win, but it's going to be tight, I think. Federer did lose two times in a row to Nadal right? One time Roland Garros final (few weeks ago) and I thought a final of another pretty big tournament. Both on gravel though (I thought). Still think Federer is going to have a hard time against Nadal. [edit] In terms of who won most out of the duelts. They played against eachother 7 times. Nadal won 6, Federer won 1. In the duels there were 4 finals: Nadal won them all. Fadfdfd
Nadal is not an underdog, how dare you call him an underdog. He's one of the best Clay court (of course this is grass court) players of all time. He's won like 55 straight matches on clay. I hate him and Federer, but I like Sharapova for obvious reasons. We all do :D
