Redid the 2nd one (the sky) and got this :) i like it more

It's decent for a first time. My advice to you would be figure out the light source (in this case, the moon) and shade according to that. You have the darker part of the tree and rocks closer to the moon. Also, you need to work on shading period. The ground has no shading at all and the other stuff has very little. Lastly, avoid pillow shading unless it works. Pillow shading is shading from inside out. Good work but keep practicing! :D

Still havent really figured out had to add texture to ground..im looking at a couple other pixel pictures(by good artists) and trying to understand.. thanks!

tree looks.....odd make it less fat and more slim and trim... with trees always think tall dark and handsom... :D

The runite is either glowing or its too bright, in a dark setting like that it should kind of blend in.

 

 

 

The ground is one color, perhaps add texture then shading.

 

 

 

The sky is a blue- but usually when the moon is out its a dark navy or black. The moon could also be glowing. Clouds look like wigs, the bottom of clouds are usually flat-ish unless in the presence of a storm.

 

 

 

Tree is 2-D with a black shadow on the ground. The ground is not black- and does not blend into the blackness of the shadow. Also why is the tree shaded darker towards the moon? Same goes for the runite. I say this because you obviously realised that the moon was a light source and made a shadow on the ground- so why make everything darker towards the moon? i notice you did the same on the clouds too.

 

 

 

Text is ugly, you should place it in a corner or in the center- depending on your situation. I recommend a corener here. Also pick a more legible (spell check plox.) text so we can read it.

I think it's an improvement. The streaks in the sky probably shouldn't be there. Instead of adding streaks, try shading from light to dark away from the moon (just don't be too drastic). There's still a lot to improve but keep practicing, you have potential...

Please use less random lines and more planned out shading. It looks better than your first attempt but im still not seeing much improvement on the shading and lighting. Also, when has the moon ever been yellow? :P
