Fortress2000
Well, I only srated this sig today, and I'd like to know what everyone thinks of the house. Yes, I know it's pretty empty, but I'm working on that... :-w UPDATE #1. I've started on the garden, but I'm not sure what I should add to it... UPDATE #2. Added a small farming patch. Running out of ideas, but I think I'm going to make the house by the seaside, for some reason.... CC? :ohnoes: Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Riku3220
house is cool bt your going to have to add more things.....really
Goldwolflord
Isometric? Looks like you're following a tutorial? It's really small and looks very empty. The shadow should link up to the nearest corner, too. All looking a little 2D at the moment. Maybe progress will change that.
WeeBoab
yup gold, looks 2d when its got 3 dimensions. makes sense. nice start, hopin to make a village or something? My photobucket
Goldwolflord
yup gold, looks 2d when its got 3 dimensions. makes sense. nice start, hopin to make a village or something? It doesn't have 3 dimensions. It's flat - it's made of pixels. It doesn't have 3 dimensions, genius. It has width and it has height. No depth.
Fortress2000
I'm hoping to try and make it like it's situated at a cliffs edge, maybe over looking a waterfall, or a stream. Who knows, maybe even the sea. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D
WeeBoab
so 3d renders are 2d? and 3d drawings are 2d? why do they teach us to draw "in 3d" then? My photobucket
Goldwolflord
so 3d renders are 2d? and 3d drawings are 2d? why do they teach us to draw "in 3d" then? Yes 3D Renders are 2D. They appear to have 3 dimensions because of the lighting and perspective. They are only 2D they. They do not exist in real life - you cannot reach out and touch them at the front and back, and are therefore not 3D. They teach us to draw things so they appear to be 3D and more lifelike. But you can't physically draw 3D things.
Fortress2000
I'm going to add the garden, tommorow... Hope this all works out well... Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D

Fortress2000
I've made an update, but there are quite a few things wrong with it, so they'll need to be changed... Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D
operationfl
it's good but still a looonog way to go. No grassy detail? -o-
woopidoo2
I think the half of ppl who whine about 2d-3d dont get anything of pixel art. pixel art started with that, simple houses, cities, ment to be 2d. theres Nothing wrong with, that kind of pixel art doesnt need any 3d. and if you would add 3d, it would be a total different style of pixel art. Keep it up, im looking forward to the whole sig. [http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com][Tip.it Moderator from Dec 10, 2006 to 03 Sep, 2008]

Quer_Skulll
it's good but still a looonog way to go. No grassy detail? it's an isometric. hmm i hold my comments till its finished.
operationfl
I won't argue with you Quer as you know more - but it is an isometric and the bush has detail. -o-
Fortress2000
It's really hard to add detail to things like grass, and still keep the sig as an isometric. If you overdo the detail on flat areas, the sig will no longer be isometric. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Fortress2000
Iv'e now fixed up the update, to include the things that were meant to be there. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D
Quer_Skulll
tho i will admit that grass detail will make it a higher quality iso IF done right.. tho because doing good grass detail on an iso is a hard thing it is also a rare thing. in general iso grass will be seen like this: or this: it's rare to see good grass among iso especially amongst beginners (not saying you are one :-# ) so i won't expect it from people either. sorry for the explenation but i just wanted to make clear that quality grass tile is NOT a no no but just a rare thing. rooneyrules0
Wow, that looks really good. I'm not sure why everyone is critisising this, maybe I just don't have the "artist's eye". Oh well. If you are following a guide, link please? ÃÆââââ¬Ã¢Ã¢â∠
Fortress2000
I'm just making up this sig as the ideas come into my head. :D I'm not using a tutorial, so there isn't a clicky :( . If I'm able to finish this, and make it look pretty good, I may make my own tutorial. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It.
