Kurtvegita's Random Event Theory

Featured Replies

Here is my theory:

Random Events are not triggered randomly, but by the first person who does the action. This may appear to be random because there are so many people in a world at once.

For instance

The Mysterious Old Man would appear to someone who does an action, does whatever and disappears. Then he goes to another random person who does an action.

This sequence may explain why it is rare see other people in the same place as you in random events (If you get teleported away).

More Examples

The tree imp will appear to someone chopping wood, and when it disappears (or is killed) harasses someone else.

The gravedigger appears to someone burying bones and once he is done, appears to another person.

The Theory Part II

Random Events cover a couple worlds.

Thus, the frog prince(ss) might travel between world 1, 2, 3, or 4 at one time.

That way it makes random events seem even more random!

That's what I figured too, but I don't think it works for regular gift-givers (sandwich lady, MOM box/regular, dwarf, pirate, rick, miles&bros) and only for the teleport-away events. You never see another person miming or running in that maze now, hm?

I am a tree.

actually i do recall one instance where i saw another white dot on my minimap while running the maze

also, ive been in several abyssal holes (from teleportation) where someone else needed help getting out

Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^

then maybe, it has a set time limit?

Actually, I've had a mime, maze and Evil Bob, all with other people being there with me.

This may appear to be random because there are so many people in a world at once.

Once when i ignored the frogs and they took me to that cave i saw 2 other ppl there, probably autoers. Also, the last time i got the mime random just when i got there there was someone else there and just when i was leaving someone got teled there.

Another thing, about not seeing multiple randoms at the same place, try going to a busy world and go to the fishing dock on karamja i can pretty much guarantee you will see multiple randoms at the same time if you stay there long enough. Once i saw 3 MOMs there at the same time, another time i saw 2 sandwich ladies at the same time...

I have met other people while in the frog cave, and Evil Bob's island.

I also have met other people while doing the Prison Pete random.
