Ok so I have the ability to give my self a muscle spasm on my lower leg & my calf....

Is this normal? =P~

I would suppose that it's normal. I can give myself one if I try hard enough. Of course, I don't want one.

I've done that before so I would assume its normal...

I've done it before, however it is usually after a some heavy training (Exercise).

Muscle cramps are pretty common, and could be caused by many things. If you haven't exercised before inducing the cramp then it could be caused by a lack of water (Dehydration) or the lack of electrolytes (Salts and Minerals) in your muscles. Both of these can also be caused by exercise.

It really shouldn't be anything to worry about unless you have Hypothyroidism, or Kidney failure.

I get a leg cramp when I go swimming. I tend to push my legs too much. It hurts a lot and almost drowned when I was in the deep end and my leg started to hurt :$ Good thing my gf saw me.

Oh God... If I am cracking my neck and I twist just right, it pulls the muscles and it hurts so bad. :( :wall:

Wow... every once in a while I can slowly jerk my neck to either directly left or right and I hear this huge internal *POP!*. (Just id it now after reading your post. (Can't do it twice in a row though)

I used to be able to give myself muscle spasms as well, forgot how/can't do them now.

So I think it's pretty normal  .

Anybody ever get the ones where you're just sitting around and you twist your foot the wrong way? Most painful reoccurring experience of my life.

Try getting that during a fencing match. That's twice the pain. Of course, it's more embarassing when it happens when I'm just sitting down... >.>

Yup twisting your foot during a fencing match does kill. Especially when you are trying to fleche from a lunge position.

Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

If i'm playing intense basketball or handball I usually get hamstring spasms. I got one yesterday cause i didn't stretch and was drinking soda.
