I use my dad's old Canon AE-1P film camera, but I'm asking for either a Nikon D-50 or D-70s for by b-day/x-mas. If you upgrade and you had the D50 you'll have to buy different memory cards since it takes SD and not Compact Flash. Remember that the Canon EOS-20D is a very good camera for the money. Photos! Thanks :D .The problem is that my parents don't want to get me a real expensive camera for my first camera. And seeming as how eventually i would want to upgrade to the D70s or another Nikon, if I got the D50 I could buy more lenses and not have to worry about. I really don't think that the memory card thing would really play that much trouble because I would probaly buy my camera on ebay, where most cameras come in bundles including memory sticks. And I really doubt I would need anything more than a gig. If I go with a canon, the only cheap canons, are REALLY cheap and not the best quality.
