July 21, 200619 yr So I'm pretty happy today I went and got my new Redeon X1300 graphics card at bestbuy...But to make this topic have some worth, whats the difference between all these cards, X1300, X1600, X1900, I looked over all of them and most of them looked exactly like the last one...Whats the major diffence for so much cash? Oh, and this made me cry tears of joy :cry: I love it :thumbsup: you should never attempt to insert a floppy disk in a 56X CD-ROM drive, as floppy disk shrapnel hurts
July 21, 200619 yr There is major difference between the cards. The x1900XTX is one of the fastest cards out. The x1600 is mid-range preformance, and sadly your x1300 is buget preformance. I hate to burst your bubble but there is no way you can play oblivion on high settings with the x1300. Infact most cards struggle with medium quality in that game.

If he optimize's it right he may be able to, guess we will see though. I can run the game on 'mostly' high (minus some stuff that is realy taxing to the game) with my 6600GT. It only runs at like 30fps though (but it's roughly the same on all high and all low... *sighs*.)

July 21, 200619 yr If I remember, I'll post a few screenshots of me playing Oblivion with my 1900XTX. Annoying thing is, I still get some stutter when loading up new textures. Everytime I enter a new area I have to do a 360 degree spin to load it all up. :( Notoriously Trollish.
July 21, 200619 yr I use a 6800 and have no trouble running on high. The only thing I have problems with is the grass distance. Especially when fighting things in it.. blegh.. I think that's partially Oblivion's fault for being dumb, though, so.. *cough* :)
July 21, 200619 yr How can you all run on high? Do you have any AA or AF on? What resolution do you guys play at? I can play on high at 800x600( I think), but I refuse to play on anything lower than 1024x768 (yes I know thats stupid). I sware there is a major problem with my computer.
