Is BAxe ever better than scim? I'm thinking for really high attack, baxe may have an advantage \'

Wow. Sorry for the confusion -- I was referring to RUNE weaps. <.<

This is silly question. It's like asking "is bronze dagger better than rune two handed sword?" LOL.

EVeryone knows battleaxe is better.

I personally like the battle axe. The scim is just a terrible version of a whip.

Still better than a Baxe

What the hell are you talking about? BattleAxe is better, you cannot possibly see anyone hit higher with dragon battleaxe than a dragon scimitar. :shame:

Big hits don't turn me on, I'm afraid. I prefer faster, smaller hits

The Spec is OK though

Don't know about specials, but the main problem in comparing a B-axe with a scimmy:

The B-axe, on the stats you can see, has a better slash attack and a usable crush attack, BUT, is slower than a Scimmy by a considerable margin. So while damage per hit and %hit should be better, the scimmy attacks more often.

I use the scimitar personally. It has a better speed-to-damage ratio. Let's say that slow speed decreases an items rating by one, medium doesnt affect it, and high speed increases the rating by one. the same applies with damage (high damage=+1, medium=0, low=-1) that gives the scimitar 0 from damage, and +1 from speed for a total of +1, making them good. b axes get +1 from damage and -1 from speed for 0, making them average (just to insult maces, they get 0 from damage, and -1 from speed for -1, making them bad weapons \' ) however, battle axes do have higher attack and strength bonuses, but i still think that scimitars speed more than makes up for this. of course, if you're factoring in the dragon versions, d b axes have a much more useful special if you prefer pvm training. the quest to get them is also easier, but keep in mind that they cost 100k more than scimitars... and maces are the cheapest lol wonder why

EDIT: b axes also have 2 attack types, but i still choose scimmy ftw

Too bad it only works on players.

for small hp mobs i use dbaxe + special and 1-2 hit them for fast training

for very high hp i usually boost myself with dbaxe, pot and then use D-long

75% of my melee time i use D-long

the whole scimitar thing is so overestimated its ridicolous, some lies in it since its one of the newer dragon weapons, newer doesnt automaticly mean its better :shame:

Im oldschool and sticking with Dlong or Dbax for usage /OLD SCHOOL STYLAAH 4 LYYYFE \' \' \'

scimmy whip and dd(s) are all same melee speed, And that speed is fast.

Scimmy/whips are limited by having slash attacks only and the whip further more has no agressive mode.

For general purpose exping scim and whip are winners if you fight mobs weak to slash.

d long and d baxe both have dual attack types, slash + pierce for d long and slash + crush for b axe. If one doesn;t bother to choose attack types to match their opponent, that flexibility is lost.

The only special attacks I care much about for the mentioned weapons are dd's and b axe. The 25% special double swipe of dd is great and the raaagggge of b axe is fantastic in places like pest control.

I seriously gave each weapon type a chance and came to love the scim and then whip for their sheer speed. Their lack of good specials is fine as I'm a fan of excalibur for it;s free def bonus.

Alot is up to the individual to prefer, the only wrong answer is to discount a weapon before trying it yourself.

Cheers!
