ok that games room is desereted and we need more games and not games like backgammon or chess (but those could work) but im talking gambling and more than 2 player games. my ideas are below:

gambling- i took a survey on what people wanted in the games room, some said gambling/staking so i'm thinking why not put a casino in there! it would go great with the bar. the games for this are pokerand roulette wheel

staking- this will be a friendly part with your friends or complete strangers putting a little pressure on the game its kinda like aboves but you can just stake

card games- YES JAGEX we need cads games blackjack, poker, uno, hearts you name it we just need to get away from the board games

im open for suggestions and keep this thread alive

and pretty pretty please support

other suggestions:

make it F2P credits to jackalope14

carnival game/prizes credits to slingo

Lets just stick with the Games Room, not Casino. (But I agree with cards)

Betting I agree with. Now before you say "OMG little kids play thi5!!!1"

Isn't Staking at the Dueling Arena the same thing?

ya about lol except for fighting its a game...

ya they need a casino and stuff like that in it...

and i agree more people should play..

actually if u read the notes on the bar it says that if more people play they might add chess and slime wars (whatever that is)

ya add a casino upstairs would be cool...

thats the reason i made the Burthrope game room clan (Board Gamers odd name i know)

also a section to suggest stuff for it...

the clan thing is in the clan section of this forum...

sounds like a good idea. I just wonder if this would keep people in the games room for more than just a few weeks.

I support though, I'm sure I would spend more time there if these games were put in.

Another solution I discussed with my friend is that maybe jagex could make it f2p. I know they dont pay for the game and so they should'nt get as many benefits and blah blah blah. But its only the games room and it doesnt give you an advantage in the game as far as training skill (maybe you could make these new ideas, such as the card games, only members). Again, I would definately go to the games room more if this happened because there would simply be more people there.

Just a thought...

I've seen this idea before, and I do support it somewhat. I agree that it should be available to f2p (using a special teleport so they don't have to physically move it on the map - this teleport would be available for p2p as well - perhaps from the upstairs room in one of the Varrock taverns or something)

I think short and quick games are ok, including card games. I shy away from Chess because it's too long and I can see people getting logged out just trying to figure out their next move, which would cause them to forfeit the game! (using a chess timer set to no more than 45 seconds might work, but I never actually played chess using a timer)

Long card games are out as well (Someone mentioned Uno). Aside from copyright issues, a game like Uno can go on for hours. It might be fun, but I prefer to spend most of my online time training skills, and the games room doesn't promote this. I don't mind it as a diversion once in a while, but not to an excess.

I think some of the carnival type games might be fun - stuff like throwing darts at balloons, racing toy horses, throwing balls into goldfish bowls, etc. Even to the point of winning tradeable prizes like stuffed animals. (Availability would keep these things from becoming excessively priced, and they'd make cute gifts from player to player - especially if they can be wielded like flowers).

Just my thoughts... lol

I'd appreciate it if you spelled my name right, though.

The only thing I'm for on this one is the staking. The other ideas wouldn't be to good, as Jagex would have A LOT of programming to do and memory to take up. Not completely for the idea, but I will say that you're onto something.
