A quest to be the best--[updated 8/1/06]

Ok, a while back I had a lvl 110 main with 96 mage(before ancients) and I somehow kept getting hacked and the account finally being banned. I may try to get it back, but I really don't even want it anymore. I was in MK, but they treated most people like crap and then a lot of MK left to form a clan called The Dynasty(TD). I was one of the original 15, and the first member of the month of that clan. We rose in power quickly, getting to rank number 2 pretty fast. Problems started, with our leaders needing to lay off of the game because of real life problems. This is about the time I started to get interested in staking.

 

 

 

So I made a staker, and wanted to just keep 1 prayer. I got to about 80/70/80 when I wanted to DM some, so I got his prayer to 34 for them. I won about 90% of my stakes, and a lot against pures and 90+ rangers. I tried to stake on him, but had a hard time getting anyone to accept it because "your defense is too high". I was about 85/70/85 with 34 prayer.

 

 

 

Then problems started with me and my real life girlfriend, where I lost most interest in Runescape and quit for a few months. I had a noob account started already, which was around 40 in all melee stats and 1 prayer, which I started working on around Christmas time. I've trained and trained him, and got to 96 attack, 90 strength, and 93 defense with 1 prayer. I staked a lot, and won tons. But I wasn't satisfied. I used all of my cash to just have fun and blown it on a lot of garbage, and spent tons on my girlfriend(the same one before that I was having problems with) for her to have fun with. I just wanted to train mostly, I've always wanted to train and get my goals before I started to have the fun with them.

 

 

 

I got my girlfriend membership, and gave her about 10 mill in construction items to get a house with. She's starting a staker account, but mostly working on her house currently.

 

 

 

So that's where I'm at. I'm lvl 96 attack, 90 strength, and 93 defense with 1 prayer. My main goals right now are 99 attack, 90 strength, 99 defense, 99 range, and 85 construction. Once I get all of them done, I'll max out the construction. I'm a box staker, and always have been on this account. I hope to get these stats(the attack and defense) within a month, which I believe I can do while I train when I'm out working since I leave North Carolina for 2 weeks every job I get. I'm wanting to get 99 range just for random PKing and for for a side option for staking, and just for something to do. Once I get it all, I will also just train attack or defense and try to be top 10 in that skill.

 

 

 

Another goal I have just for fun is to pick up 470k earth runes from earth warriors, which is where I train. I have already gotten about 198k, and sold about 75k-100k before I thought about collecting them. 47 is my girlfriends favorite number, so I want to accumulate 470k earth runes.

 

 

 

So the goals in order that I want to achieve:

 

99 attack-96 now

 

99 defense-93 now

 

99 range-25 now

 

85 construction-55 now. I will randomly work on this when I'm bored of training the attack/defense and just wanting to have fun with my girlfriend.

 

470k earth runes-198k now

 

85 slayer-Forget it. I'm 1 defense and can't even get in the slayer tower, which means I can't get the stuffed decoration which is the only reason I wanted to do slayer.

I knew I didn't feel like training anything today but range, which was only 13 starting today. I decided a few days ago that it would be my side option for staking over mage. So I've been wanting to get it started. I had a pretty crazy day. I had to go pick my mom up from work, go pay my cell phone bill, and get my car inspected. Then I only had about 2 hours until I left to go to my girlfriends house and had planned to be back around 1. It started raining hard, and lightning really bad, and by the time I got her back to her house and to watch a movie, we noticed the phones were not working and then the whole power went out. It went out in the whole town. It was about 2 hours of no power, so we just did a whole lot of nothing. I get home around 2 AM. I'm working on range now, and will be 40 soon enough before I go to bed finally. Then I'll get to use my ranger set I bought earlier today and green hide armor. That will speed up the process. I'm training it on thugs until I get 40. Tomorrow I will start back on earth warriors and see how that works, and probably spend a day or two on range and only range. I'll just see how I like it. I'm still now sure on if I want to use iron arrows or iron knives. I'm 39 right now, and will be 40 soon. Then bed time. Man I'm tired. Post your comments on the knives/arrows deal. I know knives are better, and what a lot of people use...but I don't know if I'll do the quest for the zamarok book and I like the bonus the bow gives me, not to mention to help the AFK pkers that will try to kill me with it's special. I'll wear full dragon hide, with torag legs, ranger boots, robin hood hat, and fury ammy. That should provide for good enough defense(I'm 93 anyways) against the earth warriors while having a nice range attack bonus. Later guys.

I woke up about 3 hours late by a phone call from my girlfriend. I got up and made plans for the day while training some range. I didn't get much range done, and was gone until about 2 AM this morning. I got on Runescape and went back to range. After getting to lvl 46, I decided to train slayer too. My first task, 94 lesser demons. I'm standing here now with a range pure killing away. I'm currently 47 and almost 48. I just got the random with evil bob where I pop the baloons for the first time, and that took me a while to get used to...lol. I'm already 12 slayer with about 65 lesser demons to go. Wish me luck. --UPDATE 5:10 AM--

 

So I just finished my first slayer task of 94 lesser demons. Out of it I got 24 slayer, and 50 range with about 10 demons left to kill. The only drops worth picking up were 2 piles of 60 fire runes, a mith chain, and a mith square. This guy was nice enough to not pick up my arrows and steal them, and even gave the ones he did pick up back to me, so I kindly gave him the loot I had picked up as a favor. Now I'm off to buy full blue hides and going to go to bed. I'll start ranging again in the morning.

 

 

 

--UPDATE 4:06 PM--

 

I had to go kill around 80 ice warriors, and got that completed. I then went for another task while using range. 102 kalphites. Ouch. So I get the gear and head out. I got only a few killed before I decided to get a cannon already. I spent time doing the quest, and finally finished it.

Not even 24 hours and it seems like my slayer goal has been shattered. Little did I know, the slayer mansion is in a place in which a quest that gives you prayer experience is given. I HAD to do some crawling hands, and I noticed I had to get in there to do that. So, in order to even continue doing slayer I'd have to get some prayer experience. No way, so goodbye slayer. After doing the dwarf cannon quest, bought a cannon from the dwarf for 750k, and buying about 23k cannon balls for 200 each...it was all a waste. Later slayer, hello earth warriors.

I updated a little, after doing a lot actually. Ok, I haven't been able to do too much because of me going out with my friends a lot. I also found out that slayer is a waste of time when I'm staying 1 prayer, and it seems that people will even x out on a whip box stake every single time. So there it is. I can't do slayer, I can't stake, so what do I do? Well, I may do some quests to do draogn slayer so I can wear the plate for the extra defense, and the quest to get the warrior helmet. Both of those should help me train a little faster. I also have to do the horror from the deep so I can use knives when I train range. I got the rune defender, after about 1k tokens. It took only 450 or so to get up to mith(got steel on the first drop), then about 200 for addy, and 350-400 on the rune. I have about 400 tokens left, I'll save them in case I lose the one I have now.

 

 

 

So what's going to be going on? I'm thinking I will do nothing but train attack until I'm 99. Then I'll try staking again, maybe get up to 80 range, finish up the 99 defense, and finish the range. That's what it looks like.

Re-read the thread :lol: , I was asking if I was because I've always seen zwicked say he was number 2, so the only person that was higher that I knew about was pyrokid...which I was higher.

 

 

 

I do get bored of training just melee, which is why I will randomly do range and construction for fun. Construction will be fun for me because it costs a lot(I don't get my own supplies, I just buy it all...lol) and it's just something nice to do with my girlfriend. So I think that will be fine for me to do when I'm bored of training attack and defense.

 

 

 

I'm also thinking about training slayer while I train range once I get to 40-50. That may be added to my sub-goals soon.

This is what I'm currently wearing. The torag only gives a negative 10 range bonus while giving great defense against the earth warriors, and I haven't did dragon slayer obviously because I'm 1 prayer.

 

 

 

So I'm guessing I'd be better off by doing the horror from the deep quest for the book so I can get the bonus it gives to cover up for the arrows?

I have started slayer about an hour ago, and decided I wanted to get 85 just to get the heads for decoration in my house when I get the construction level. I will probably only train slayer when I'm training range. I think I'll train range for a few days before I go back to finish 99 attack. I have about 12k iron arrows I had stored in my bank. Once I use those up, I'll do the horror from the deep quest and get the zammy book and switch to iron knives.

ok, so I had to leave NC for work. I'd have been gone for 13 days. I try logging into the account while on my laptop on a wireless internet from the hotel, and find that my account has been hacked.

 

 

 

I don't have my binder with all of the info it to get the account back, so I have to go 2 weeks with the person doing whatever they do with it. There's really nothing I can do.

 

 

 

I'm just going to train my rune pure up and maybe get a rune defender on him. I'll update it as soon as I get more information.
