August 3, 200619 yr When you create a new male character, you can change torso style. There are many styles of tops with different buttons and shapes. One of the choices is a ripped top (see picture below). However, once you've made your character and you don't have the ripped top, you can't get it back: in the clothing shop in Varrock, you can choose all tops except that one. With the teak drawers in a player owned house, you also can't get it back. But I did a little experiment (that cost me 6k) and managed to get the ripped top back on a male character, while it had another one before. Here's how: first, go to the makeover mage and change your gender to female (don't worry you only have to stay like that for a few minutes). Then go to your house with teak drawers of the the varrock clothign shop, and change the top of your female character to the ripped one that looks similar to that of the picture below. Then, go back to the makeover mage, change back to male, and bam! You keep the ripped top! To remove all doubts, the character in the picture below really is male (even if he's dressed in purple :P) Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)
August 3, 200619 yr Interesting even though I don't like that ripped shirt look. :-k No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
August 3, 200619 yr I have never thought on that, but now when i have tested it, you have right! That is impossible if you don't do as you say. Smart! Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
August 3, 200619 yr When did they remove the ripped clothes from varrock? :| I could've sworn they were there before.
August 3, 200619 yr Well if you think about it who would buy ripped clothes? I guess Jagex overestimated the style choosings of it's players, but i noticed it too even though the ripped look wasn't something I was interested in. Someone should check out the ripped pants which might still be an option which would blow my previous idea away. Don't you love contradicting yourself? Rs name: bionicl00 (00 is 2 zeros)F2P forever! All my F2P stats are currently at or above 30. Wow... I just scanned it with my new high tech program called "common sense" and it detected a scam.87.964% of all statistics are made up.
August 3, 200619 yr Author Maybe some leggings combination of a female will become the ripped pants. Either way, whether or not some players want the ripped top or not, it's strange that there's 1 clothing type that you can get at character creation but nowhere in the game while all other clothing styles can. Weird :) Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)
August 3, 200619 yr My char is ripped, i mean it looks like his muscles are huge :D But when he wears camo my char looks like a weakling.
August 4, 200619 yr I didn't know any one cared about the basic set of colthes enough to even try to find that style. I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm! What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
August 4, 200619 yr Author I didn't know any one cared about the basic set of colthes enough to even try to find that style. Well, for one, they don't take up bank space!
