Things we REALLY need!

I'm getting really tired of waiting for GOOD updates. :( If you go to the RS website, what do you see? Gnome Cuisine? Lunar Diplomacy? Pyramid Plunder? WE DON'T NEED THIS! :notalk: Jagex should worry about the little things all players want:

 

 

 

- A new bank page.

 

- F2P fletching.

 

- A new word censor.

 

- The ability to sit down ANYWHERE.

 

- Official F2P forums.

 

 

 

What you think? Anything missing? If any P2P reads this, can you post in on the official forums please?

Not getting into the whole F2P vs P2P argument, let's break this down:

 

 

 

1. New bank page. Ok, yeah, it would be nice for f2p'ers to have more bank space, but since no new items have been added to f2p, I don't see the purpose. Generally, the only time P2P gets any new bank space is when a new skill is added.

 

2. F2P fletching. Hmm. Can't really discuss this one because it is the F2P/P2P argument.

 

3. New word censor. What, you want to censor new words? This doesn't make sense. Oh. You want to change the way it works. Sorry, Jagex has control of that and the only way they will change it is when those who insist on trying to find bypasses for it quit doing it. (i.e. it almost always gets more restrictive, rarely less)

 

4. Ability to sit down. Why? You gain no experience in any skill while sitting. It doesn't serve any purpose. Frankly, I'm surprised they allow it in Construction, but it goes along with the whole "sit down for a cuppa tea" thing.

 

5. Official F2P forums. Same as #2.

 

 

 

As F2P, you are still able to read the official forums. If you take the time to read the stickied rules topics in the Suggestions forum, you'll see that all these things are on the list of "do not post suggestions about..." I wonder why.

No, no no, you didn't understand. First of all, this isn't a "F2P-needs-more-stuff" rant. I just wrote what hundreds of people want. If you read some threads of this forum you'll see.

3. THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE? The game censor is censoring more words than it's supposed to, you've sure noticed that! (lots of languages can't be spoken in RS bcz the censor takes lots of words. If you search in the Rants section you'll find lots of rants about this. The censor was SUPPOSED to erase only the BAD WORDS.)

 

4. Well, this yould make of runescape a more realistic game! :)

Actually I think F2P prayers could use some kind of boost since 15xp for a Big bone is really slow to level up.

 

 

 

Maybe make the quest dragon killable again for bones and loot.

I'm familiar with the bank page suggestion. It's well thought out and if this is what you are suggesting, then I'm all for it. However, you'd be making a duplicate post which the mods don't particulary care for, which is why I thought you were simply asking for more bank space from the get go.

Hundreds of F2Pers want agilty, farming, construction, theiving, slayer... What's the difference? I said that this has to do with the supposed war between f2p'ers and p2p'ers. I don't deny that people in F2P want what people in P2P have. I don't blame you for that.

Yes, it does erase the bad words. Every time some clever noob comes up with a new way to spell a bad word, Jagex has to block it, too. Which makes the censor rules more and more complicated, and more aggrevating for the rest of us. Do they need to work on it? Yes. Do they already know about it? Yes.

Cook a lobster and carry it around with you for 3 days and then eat it. Tell me if it makes you sick or if it heals the bruise on your knee. Who said RS had to be realistic? I could care less if people can sit on the benches in RS or not. I would never do it becaue I have no need to do it. Like I said, you don't gain any skills from it, so why should I waste my time? Besides, if I sit still for 60 seconds, the games going to log me out anyway.

Your suggestions need working on, but overall, I agree with the idea. Jagex needs to work on smaller things like that. In fact, a lot more things like the new look of lesser demons and dragons that is coming out. THAT is what we need. :thumbsup:

If there was one thing that was changed from members to f2p, I would like it to be agility. This is because its the only skill that doesnt cut-in to any other members stuff. For example, If fletching was f2p, that means you get to make mage longs and shorts and then magic trees would be f2p too #-o , For agility, you would just train at a new traing area (maybe not as many as p2p) And go use agility short cuts that are in f2p. Of course they cant make stuff like grapple hooks and stuff like that though

omg u guys dont get that f2p is meant to be a teaser for the full game version. Mwmbers dont just get more of the runescape land but they also get the extra skills, bank space, and other perks. jagex makes f2p so you eventually get members. I myself am a f2per but i will totally vouch for any members.

We get it, we simply are posting things that f2p may need. Perhaps a small portion of fletching would be nice, but surely not the whole thing... The new bank page would be awesome for everyone. The forums and sitting down I must disagree with. Sitting down is completely useless and the forums are a huge thing for p2p. We don't want people begging in the markets do we? A lot of flame wars would go on.....

yup definitely. i think f2p should be able to kill dragons and get dragon hides, but not be able to craft drgonhides. or only be able to make green dragonhide. or have a better monster. the best drops are from greaters (rune scimmy, mace and full helm) and those are in lvl 50 or so wild; i always get pked and the ankous don't drop anything good! i think that f2p should get a deungeon with greater demons and black demons.

I like this ide. I think one of the biggest "problems" in f2p is that there is simply not enaugh space for all the players to train combat stats. Only a place even as big as draynor village filled with monsters of all levls for every 1 to kill would be a huge thing in f2p!

This is one of those F2P Vs. P2P rants... And for the fletching part, it doesn't matter what all the 'great' players think, Jagex is a big company and they have to make their money. Think of how they might lose members due to fletching. Think of all of those fletching addicts out there. Jagex wont gain money from the fletching thing. They'll lose money. So I strongly disagree with you on this one.

Lunar Dipolmacy actually was pretty good. Along with the quest came all these handy spells...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Definately. I can't believe the most popular idea on these forums hasn't happened.

 

2. Maybe up to (and counting) mith arrows, willow bows, iron crossbows. No darts.

 

3. It would be good, but probably won't happen.

 

4. What's the point? I don't think anyone except you wants this, but you claim that all players want it.

 

5. F2P can already view the official forums. I know you probably want this so F2P can post, but there's a reason why they can't. That reason has been posted over and over, and it's because members pay.
