inureface
Time, because I still play guild wars half the day and I can guaratee you THAT's a game that requires skill, the max lvl should already tell you that you won't win this game by having 1337 armor or weapons. All PKers need to read this
Rebdragon
alot of things take skill...just not the actual skills itself  the fight caves takes alot more skill then time soloing the blast furnace is skill allright barrows...now dont tell me thats not skill, have you seen all those guides on how to do it? pking, probably half of runescapes skill is here staking, same thing as pking skill ftw  Lol, there is no skill involved in the Barrows  . Pking, staking, Dag King'ing, and a few other things are skill, but all it really comes down to is which loser has more time to burn, and who can stand the boring and repetitive work in Runescape (Hell, I can't do 30 games of PC without going insane  ). [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. kudos6969
everything in rs is repetative and easy except pkin. everything else is the same over and over again even cw, you either kill people, capture flag or protect flag. when pkin you never no what could happen next, who you couldmeet, or what they will be carrying. Pkin requires skill, wheather it be high stats witch require time and patience, or actual use of the skills at hand. Knowing what you can beat what you cant and what worth doing, killing someone for a dds only with barrage, you will find barrage cost more than the dds. Plus combat is also a big part of the game to me simply because i wouldnt go to a local game store and buy a game consisting of mindless clicking to collect logs and put in a bank. Luck is only really involved when a person is trying to gain more riches, witch in turn affect the budget you ahve for armour, food, skills etc patience for doing 1 skill for a long time to get it high and reap the beenfits afterwards. the game involves everything time and skill. They all play a big part you cant just have the 1 GWD solo drops: Armadyl Hilt sold at 63.5m - (More to come hopefully)

Asdfgzxcvbo
RuneScape is 99.9% time-dependant, all you have to do is to click on your target, and you'll do it with no skill on part of the player behind the computer screen. For example - Attack, Strength, Defense, Range, Magic, for all of these you just need to click on a monster, and you'd attack until he or you drop dead. All the while you try to kill the monster, you don't have to do anything, but stand by watching your health, and click on "eat food" if you're almost dead. You have no need to aim, compensate for wind resistance (arrows), dodge the enemy's strikes, but just stand there catatonically getting hit, and strike back. Same for prayer (and practically all other "skills) - just click on the bone and you'll bury it; or likewise with Ecto - click "use bone on loader", click on "turn wheel", and click "empty bin"; uses up tons of time, but no skill involved at all. Doraemon FTW! =)
Caedes
Time. I have had my account for 3-4 years and I'm maybe average, or slightly above average in some skills but it's because I don't put that much time into the game, I have seen people who claim to have played only several months and they are either as good as me or better. Even seen a lower level wearing a fire cape :/ There is some obvious skill required, finding the best creature to train on, seeing what monsters drop what valuable item, finding the emptiest mining spots, etc. For most players that have been playing a short while yet have become really good, they probably get help from friends (like the lower level i saw with fire cape)
ummm22
I think its a combination of both. For example all of the 'noobs' that we see lack the skill area of runescape, since they do not know how to act nicely and train, etc. But, when you think about it, for example 94 mage takes around 100k alchs, so 100 hours of your life alching stuff... O and BTW, Runescape is 95% time, 4.9% skill and .1% Monty Python. SIGGED
