Benoit4whc
i'm planning on making 1k steel bars. just smelting them will get me from level 44 to 47. then i could sell and get up to around 560k for them. on the other hand, i could smith the bars into objects and get my level to 51. what should i do? go for higher smithing and make less money? or forget smithing and sell them? 8,539th to 99 cooking!!! zxyiz
I would go for higher smithing. If I wasn't flat broke from buying a whip recently I would buy steel plates off of you so you could get your smithing up and make some cash.

godsfearme
I would sell then make more and smith. I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm! What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
powotae
In the past I sold the bars to get money for stuff i wanted. Recently I smithed them. It depends if you have something you want to buy IMO. If you do, sell the bars, if you want mainly exp smith them. You will still get the item eventually, and you will get mage exp elching them too :)
Goobore
i'm planning on making 1k steel bars... what should i do? go for higher smithing and make less money? or forget smithing and sell them? It depends on what your goals are. If you really want to raise your smithing level to be able to do Mith, Addy, or Rune gear then smelt the bars until you reach level 47. Then, use a dwarven stout and smith the bars into steel plate and then Hi-alch them. Otherwise, if you want lotsa cash, then sell the bars. So it all depends on what your goals are. Hope this helps. imhomer
It really depends on what your goals are. If you really like smithing and want to level it, smith the bars. Then you will be able to smith higher level bars and be more desirable to people who want their ores smithed for them. On the other hand if you are only raising your smithing out of neccessity, I'd sell the bars. Just because you sell them doesn't mean that you stop gaining smithing levels. Because of the company I own, I myself have gained 13 smithing levels just from smelting alone. The decision isn't really an either or decision, it's more, do you want to level smithing fast or slow? Smithing the bars will be fast, smelting them will be slow, either way you still level smithing.
