Giordano
This is if you're P2P: Train on any monster using attack spells. When you reach 45, make/run laws and do Cammy tele till 55. Goobore
I have lvl 42 magic and want to get it to lvl 55. Can anyone give me a suggestion on where to train. It depends on your budget and if you are P2P or F2P. If you are F2P and want to do it cheaply then Failed Curses is a very good method. You will always get 29 mage exp when casting Curse. Just make sure that you "fail" when casting so you can re-use the same monster. You will earn about 1 mage exp for every 1 gp spent on runes if you buy them. If you spend the time to RC Bodies and Earths then the mage exp only costs you time. Fire strike only averages about 19 mage exp per cast so I don't bother with them. Crumble undead averages about 39 mage exp per cast but can cost around 110 gp or so per cast. That's only about 1/3 mage exp per 1 gp spent. You can cast other spells but, in general, the mage exp earned per 1 gp spent is only gonna get worse. As far as location goes, you can use almost any safe location where the monsters can't reach you. A popular spot is the "key room" in the Varrock sewers. No monsters spawn in that location and you can cast across the water into the 4 zombie ladder room. It's a multi-combat location so you will almost always have a target to attack. Other locations linclude the caged Lesser in the wizzy tower, caged red monk under the Varrock palace stairs, white knights in the screen/torture room, scorpions in the Al-kharid mine (cast from above), healing monks in the Monastery back yard (use the wall), etc. Many monsters have a "wander/walk" area that they will never walk out of. So, if you stand just outside of this area, you can range or mage them and be perfectly safe. Finally, Curse does not give HP exp and can't be autocast. Hope this helps
Doomster
Striking the Air / Water / Earth / Fire wizards in their own element - this "buffs" them to full HP rather than hurting them, and can be autocast, though will gain only base spell XP and no hit damage. Decent mage defence is needed, as their spells can hurt you. The hobgoblins on the sand bar near the crafting guild are also good for mage and non-collecting range, as they can be attacked across the water, with no retaliation. goldphishies
I trained on guards and black knights, because mage attacks hit their armor hard. Plus, the have a decent amount of hitpoints. alleylee
how about wind strike? it only needs 1 mind rune.. and gives about 5.5+ exp.. should be the cheapest if you're crafting your runes... just an idea... comment on what you think.... i was calculating for the cheapest (most exp per rune) used attacks... maybe curse is the best... but how about confuse and whatever the other one is? i'm training from 33 and 34, and maybe i want to start a sub account so 1... this is very interesting...
