The Art of a F2P range+2h combo.

 

 

 

By reading this tutorial, you will become someone that can do succesful combos.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

 

Attack: 40

 

Strength: 60

 

Ranged: about 50-60+

 

Defence: 0-5 (doesnt matter)

 

 

 

Strength potions, Prayer for a better result.

 

 

 

Weaponery:

 

 

 

Offcourse, youll need a Rune 2 Handed sword

 

(this could be bought at varrock world 1, for 45k)

 

 

 

And a Maple shortbow, with addy arrows (take about 30 into wildy)

 

 

 

 

 

Alot of people just grab 2hs and range, like an unorganized mess.

 

They want to get you killed, but thats mostly what you want to do when youre into wildy. Take this advice:

 

 

 

You will only kill with patience, when doing range+2h combos.

 

 

 

So you are fighting with someone that is your lvl (with range), or lower (when he is a higher lvl then you, combos are harder due to the right click that takes precious time)

 

 

 

You have the oppertunity to kill him. he has about 10 hp left.

 

what do you do? nothing!

 

 

 

He will think that you are a harmless, ''easy-to-kill'' Ranger. But only you know thats not true. This way, you make him think that you dont have a 2handed, and thats a usefull tool in getting your first big loot.

 

 

 

Do this a couple of times, so you are ensured you will get the kill (so looters are chanceless, and cant take ur kill)

 

 

 

And theres the moment. Drink a strength potion, put ur prayer on (I personally got prayer 20, enough for superhuman strength) and wait till the moment when you will knock him out and send him to lumby.

 

 

 

At range 60 you will be able to hit a 10 max (correct me if im wrong)

 

and at strength 60 (with a strength potion 69) you will be able to hit a 16, maybe a 17 with prayer.

 

 

 

as we all know, 10+16 = 26 hitpoints, thats enough to kill any pure.

 

 

 

Tips for range+2handed combos:

 

 

 

~As I said before: wait for the perfect moment, even when you get ur first oppertunity to kill him.

 

~Dont safe eat that much, eating at 20-25 hp is enough. (unless he grabs a 2handed :uhh: ) And you make them run away if you safe eat.

 

~wait for the right moment with ur strength potion, so not in the beginning.

 

~ You could use mithril arrows if you are poor, but addys own the most.

:) I killed someone with rune2handed and a scimmy, just by following every step at this tut.

 

 

 

(5-10, comboing isnt hard.)

51 range

 

40 attack

 

60 strength

 

25 magic

 

31 prayer

 

 

 

what is my hitpoints gonna be?

 

 

 

this is needed so I know my combat after I get these stats for use with the 2h combo! :)

it raises HP, thats something you dont need.

 

Prayer would be nice if you are a higher lvl, Id say wait with prayer.

 

 

 

with 51 range and 60 strength I think your hp will be 55 or so,

 

you can try filling in 52-58 at the combat calc, see what happens.

 

 

 

60 range is highly required, at least you hit some 10s that way. not a 8 when ur lucky with 51 range.

Meh, I wasn't planning on using mage for teleing but rather for bind and a good mage attack (to pretend to use that as my k0 hit instead of my 2h, sneaky, eh?) but 55 sounds about right I'll try that.

it tells u everything but when exactly to switch. if u switch from bow to 2her they will most likely eat and ruin ur chance. to early can leave out ur shot with the bow. ive seen it happen a few times and only done it once myself. but if u time it right u can hit with bow and 2her nearly instantanously(wrong spelling?). add that and the guide will be better

Yes, I forgot to add Timing is a useful tool too.

Ok, you see him having a very low hp level, like 10 left.

 

You still have your bow in your hand, and then you must NOT wait for the hit you will hit with range. When you see you put the arrow in your bow, at that moment you grab the 2handed.

 

 

 

This way, you will see 2 hits above eachother, thats the sign of a perfect combo. There can happen 2 things. or you hit a 0 and 5 with 2handed, so its failed. Or you hit a 10-5, and hes dead.

 

 

 

If you do it fast, he has no time to eat, or he eats to late (the last happens alot)

that would be excellent stats, but dont go with the defence (unless you allready have it) you can wear chaps even when ur def 1.

Lol, its funny how i use to do that at like lvl 54 with 51 strength and 40 attack and 71 range

 

 

 

now i got defence and my range and strength hasnt changed much :XD:

lol i would know about a failed combo. i had one done on me and it failed, i ate and survived to kill my opponent.(he hit a 0 with range and a 7 with 2h)

and maybe bring more like 60-100 addy arrows, one time i almost had a ko and i ran out of arrows :-X

on my f2p pure i hav e 45 range and if i was to get str and atk up i could get 50 str and 30 atk w/o lvling combat should i get my range up?

You don't do it immediately, you wear them down with range until they have that much hp left.

Hate to say but you arent very clear.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have like 5 pures, 3 of those make perfect use of this combo.

 

 

 

But i do need to say you need atleast 70 range 40 atk and 60 str to be able to use it good enough.

 

 

 

I'd rather advise you to get 85+ str 84+ range and 60-70 atk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

explanation:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

85+ str potted means 97 str with superhuman strength prayer (optional) the 24s become 28s

 

 

 

84 range meanse hitting a 14-15 and hitting 10+ aint rare anymore even thorough full rune.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So with your strength potted and prayed and your opponent at 50 hp, you can hit 11-10. Now he is at 27-30 hp wich meanse you can already k0 him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wait 1 more hit (atleast 5-8 so his hp is now around 25) press the magic 2h and collect the l00t after you have hitted 10+/20+.

 

 

 

Even when he eats he heals 12, you can hit 12 and 28 wich means his hp is in the negative and he will respawn in lumby...
