I recently lost 900k which i lent to a friend who promised to give it back and never did. I cant really believe it as i know him irl bt yet he still stole from me :ohnoes:

from now on i will only ever give to people who i TOTALLY trust!

At this point I only have on friend like this on rs. :ohnoes:

Rule 1: Never loan money unless you can afford to lose it.

Rule 2: Don't trust anybody in game, even if you know them in real life.

Well, kinda harsh, but it works. Sorry to hear about your loss, but it doesn't surprise me.

As I said in a seperate thread, even people who are honest in real life can lean toward to dark side of the law when playing RS becasue there is no supervision and no accountability.

Speak for yourself. In some sense, we are all accountable. Also, you'd find that the majority of people have something called "integrity" which means they still don't break the rules even when they think nobody is watching.

Ask him nicely to give them back.

Or threaten him with a knife.

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.

Everybody can trust me!

I'm always borrowing phats, masks, and hawt god armour from friends. (Just so I can look cool for a day ;) ). But i'm real sorry that you lost 900k! That's a shame! If I ever see your friend, i'll give him a quick slappin'. ^_^ (eeks! I'd prolly end up 1-hitting him on accident. >_> )

If you know him IRL. Then beat the living snot out of him ^^. Meh just get vengance.

The worst was last Christmas when someone stole my best friends account and asked me to lend him my full rune. This is a guy I know I can trust with my life, and when he didn't give it back, I sniffed a rat. I called him and he was busy at some Christmas party, and was totally shocked by the news. It was the worst feeling ever, for both of us.

NEVER trust anyone... plain and simple. After all, would you ask your best friend irl to take care of the 20 million you just won in the lottery whilst you nip to the toilet?

ok heres what you do.. if u know him in real life find out what he likes and dislikes. Find out what he talks about and stuff. if u find this stuff out u can prolly find out his pass and take back the stuff!!! im jking dont do that. I know how you feel man cuz i died and lost 10m (all my money at the time) and some ch00b got it. Up to almost 30m now

Current money=32.1m

I only trust one person in all of runescape and I don't even know his real name ( I won't say his rs name for obvious reasons ) but you can only trust trustworthy people ( I know it sounds idiotic ) but you can tell from a person's personality if they can be trusted. Never give your stuff to anyone you haven't known over a year (you can figure out there personality) and not someone who logs in once a month and you never talk to.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Oscar Wilde

I usually only trust people as much as I know I'm worth to them.

A rune smith can make millions off of me per week when i merchant, so i'll gladly lend my smithing friends a few hundred k, I know I'm worth more then that.

There are a couple exeptions to this (gave a friend a mil to help a clan bank, clan went belly up, got the money back) but they are few and far between.

Quit runescape, now playing EVE-Online(Mail Cambarus and say hi  )

money and friendship, oil and water.

True, perfectly true. Never lend anything you can't lose. I just never lend anything. Too bad for your lose

R.I.P The Old Nite. Heroes get remembered. But Legends never die. You were truly a Runescape Legend

TSK, that sucks. That's what happened to my main. I owed a friend 1.7m, so I got it, then when my OTHER friend he had just been hacked, so he asked me if I had any, and yes... I gave it all to him. The other friend got mad at me, RL, then I just started over, since I was basically poor. F2p.

back to rs, i guess. it's been 4 months.

RSN:P H Osho <- gonna start on him soon, fresh.

Well, better know your friends good. Bet my friends are glad I'm not a noob :o Lent 200k from Wintersboi.. another 150k, borrowed 2m from a friend Irl, and borrowed whip, and about 800k worth of stuff from my friend Gokukcs :D I gave the pots back to Gokukcs.. but to give whip... He hasn't logged on in forever..

i only trust Real life friends with stuff.

If you lost a friendship for 900k in pixels than thats the price you had to pay to find out he wasnt a good friend.
