trapical
Without further ado, I am of course talking about This This has been posted on the forums before but this thread isn't as much about the song as it is about it's side effects. Alright so college starts up and 1 week into it crazy crazies are already afoot in my dorm. I live with 3 other guys in a pretty sweet 3-room dorm and two days ago just as I found "A million thank-you's" one of my room-mates found the pure-awesomeness I linked to above. Known as Loituma it's a repetitive flash that has a clip of a Finnish song "Leva's Polka" set to some anime girl spinning a leek... don't ask. Anyway he had this thing running for like 30 seconds and I walk over with the other 3 guys and say "Lol, what̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s that?" Then we just sit there watching it, mesmerized for like 2 minutes. Then as we leave it playing in the backround we read the comments about it on that site. Someone posted "the ending is awesome" and even though we all knew it never ended we agreed to leave it on for 30 min to see if it does end. It doesn't of course ;). But as we sat there we learned the first of many powers this song possesses: It slows down time. Seriously, it does, trust me. As the minutes were literally crawling by, we started watching the "thank you" counter I also mentioned above. Someone said "I wonder what happens when it gets to a million..." and then we also decided, just for kicks, to find out. Finally, one of us has the brilliant idea and says "Let̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s leave the song on until we get to a million." It was 11pm but we all agreed and fell asleep with this song playing from one side of the room and the thank you counter counting aloud on the other side. \ I woke up extremely refreshed the next morning 30 minutes before my alarm clock went off. I brushed my teeth tapping my feet to the tune and the noticed the others were also all awake. We had 40 minutes before classes started (which means 65 minutes since the song was playing) and we took advantage of the time to eat a large breakfast. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s when we all noticed something else: Food tastes better when Loituma is playing in the backround. The counter was only at like 350,000 thousand so we all left for class and left them both running. In between each class it was very refreshing to come back to the room and hear the song playing before I even unlocked the door. And at 10pm that day the counter reached a million and we shut them both off. Then the four of us just sat there in silence, not really sure what to do. About 30 seconds later someone started the song again and then we all smiled and went back to out homework, all of us noting that Loituma makes homework gets done 3x as fast. Seriously. What else, but it's encapsulating powers, compelled me to attempt, record, post and humiliate myself doing the song! :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
