September 4, 200619 yr The title might be a little misleading, so bear with me before you flame me uncontollably and toast my ego to a crisp (trust me, I know toasted... :^o). Anyways, I have finally begun using the Miscellania kingdom. Don't mind spending a little cash every day for herbs and such, so I go there every single day to pick up supplies. After a little while, though, I noticed something odd; when I accidently came too early I would sometimes notice I could still collect my supplies. In fact, I noticed that the day reset based not on when you asked the workers to collect the supplies, but rather on the time in Britain. I was able to collect twice within one hour (once at midnight in Britain and once one hour later). Unfortunately, I accidently got my approval up 1%, so I messed up the pic. Today, the gap is four hours long, but it still gets the point across. Tomarrow I'll try to get a better picture if all goes well. Here are the pictures: Before: *Note: I had just raked to get my approval up.* After: If you still don't believe me, fine. I find it very odd, though. What do you think about it? And please don't tell me that this is a common post. IT can't be! #-o
September 4, 200619 yr Interesting. I like using Manage Thy Kingdom. You gain an extra 100K or so every day. :)
September 4, 200619 yr It has to use the time from somewhere... Easier if they set it to the timezone they are in if they need to test bugs.
September 4, 200619 yr Perhaps if you time it correctly, you could collect double the supplies in one trip? But it would probally just be easier to let it accumulate over time... My Last.Fm
September 4, 200619 yr If you think the title might be misleading, it might be an idea to have a less stupid title. The fact it resets at midnight has nothing to do with egotism. If they based it on when you collected the supplies then a) They'd have to store an extra value for every player in the database, which is a waste of resources when there's an easier way to do it B) People would have to write down or remember exactly what time they last went rather than have an easy to remember international standard to reference and c) It would make it more inconvenient for no reason. If people want they can use the set time to collect two loads of resources in one quick run, rather than being forced to wait an entire day. In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
September 4, 200619 yr I'm just going to say, not egotistical at all as Jagex is an English company based in England. So I'll have to agree with Smapla and Unitedite.
September 4, 200619 yr pointless topic, why would it use another timezone of to reset at midnight? itd just make it more complicated not just resetting it at midnight their time.

September 5, 200619 yr Actually that's really interesting. Good job for finding this Rhino! As others have been saying the time had to come from somewhere, so why not where Jagex is :P .
