Hope you are talking about "newbs".

Ah... Good old times :)

Needing a Newcomer-map to go from Lumbridge to Varrock, and maybe to Draynor Village if it wasn't to dangerous :ohnoes:

Dieing and wondering if I ever will see my Tinderbox back? 8-)

And after days of looking the mysterious "Port Sarim", cause rumour says they sell you Small Fishing Net their!

After that, the money-making could begin, after I found it:

Killing tons of Chickens, take their feathers and sell them 1 ea in Port Sarim, ow god, I was so lucky when someone bought them for 2 ea! :anxious:

And how proud I was earning my first k's.

My second way: Mine Tin and Copper Ore, smelt them in Lumbridge, go back to Varrock and make Dagers/Swords their. Sell them in the store.

Tought I was rich :P

Ow god, I really miss those days!!!

Ah, the good times. No stress, just relishing each day, no goals, just hanging about, enjoying our time. I got into woodcutting somehow and continued to train it at willows and burning the logs or selling it. I also mined coal for profit. So basically mining and woodcutting. When I became members, I continued my journey in woodcutting, but stopped in mining since it wasn't such a good "skill profit" unless you get 85 and that seemed like a long way and still seems so. Now I still stick to woodcutting, just too fun/good of a skill to let go.

Well, when I was a noob I was the basic stereotype. Killed by a lvl 5 Goblin, made 3 accounts at once(which I do not even remember the password to), killed chickens for hours, but then it ended just like that. You see, this guy named Its Zidane1 found me and helped me out of eternal noobiness. He gave me food, armor, weapons, and the expertise to use it all. he helped me train, eventually working me towards what I am today. Sadly he became a member when I was cb lvl 30, and I didn't see him until one day. I was down on Karajama getting lobsters, and I noticed who was next to me! It was him, but then he logged and hasn't been on ever since. I should have talked to him! #-o Oh well. That's my story.

The Maruder1- unbanned on 11-24-07! Whoo!

I remember my first trade as newb i saw guy with skull over his head and nobody else had skull over their head so i though he was special or something so I think I traded a fire rune for a bronze sword> this was back

in rsc when your combat lvl wasn't visible to other players.

oh i remember mining in barb village it was packed and it really suck mining because you would have to click on the pick in ur inventory then rock every time you wanted to mine the rock and it took about 2 minutes to get coal from a rock and then you would sell it to a smither for 100 coins.

my first death as newbi remeber iwas lvl 10 and iwas wandering around karmaja and ran into the scorps and I got killed becuase you cant run you had to go at least three rounds with it until you could escape so idied.

Mining and Smithing. Yep, I was a miner 8-)

Same here :P

At first, I got my Wcing and Fming to 15-20 once I got off of Tutorial Island. Then, my friend's taught me about the wonderful world of Runecrafting, Mining, and Smithing.

I remember that :)

Mine 14 Copper, 14 Tin. Walk to Lumby. Smelt Bronze Bars. Make into Weapons and Armor. Sell to Gen. Store. Repeat. :) Now Smithing and Mining are my favorite skills, along with Rcing.

EDIT

I started with mining and smithing. I would mine 14 copper and tin in varrock, then WALK to Lumbridge and smelt it. THEN i'd walk all the way back to Varrock and smith it into items. Finally, I'd sell them at the general store.

Wow, same thing lol

I used to do stuff the long way. I wouldn't stock up on 1k ess, then go make airs. 28 ess --> walk to lumby --> search for alter --> walk to southern fally --> search for alter --> walk past alter --> search for alter --> craft airs.

And repeat :D . It took so long back then #-o

i crafted cowhides and then swicthed to smithing

after i made some cash i decided to make a whole lot of dyes and sell them at unreasonable prices which for some reason people paid

Perhaps they should call those skills Robbery, Lumberjack, Arsonist, ect...

I started with killing cows, and I eventually moved on to mining. I remember asking, "Where's Varrock?" and, "Where's a furnace?"

Some people charged me for answers, and I happily cooperated. After mining iron for a long time, I mined coal at Lumbridge swamp. I stuck to that for a long time, until I heard people saying Yews were 300 a piece! I started raising woodcutting, and it's been one of my highest skills since.

Also, a funny story. When I was fishing at Draynor, I was told that you could buy fishing equipment at Port Sarim, across the lake. I went over there, but I got lost. I ended up somewhere near the prison, and I could not for the life of me find a way back to town. I attacked a goblin and turned off auto-retaliate so it could kill me and let me respawn at Lumbridge.

I really wish I were a newbie again, those were some of the funnest times of my Runescape days.
