Fighting in the Abyss

I would like to get some pouches for runecraft, but i dont got any tactics to fight in the multy combat area. Do you guys have any tips?

1. Bring a teleport and food.

 

2. Empty world, so you don't get pk'd going there.

 

3. Good armor and weapon.

 

4. When you get down there, run to far west side, to where there is nothing but the lil 41s and pick them off one or two at a time.

 

5. Enjoy your pouches.

Or, start fairy part 2 quest, to get access to fairy rings, and go to new abby plane, and kill abbysal monsters there.

 

You are not skulled there, and you do not lose prayer. Drops are the same.

 

I think, it is not multicombat (I dont remember, but I do know that I got lagre pouch there)

If you can use the fairy rings, there is an easier way to get them. Dial the ring to get you to the other abyssal area, which avoids any PKers and is not a multi combat zone. You can get the pouches with a lot less aggravation there.

and to add on to the fairy ring suggestion, ONLY the Leech (lv 41) is worth killing, the others are a big waste of time. There is a respawn point for 41 very near the ring that the Guardians and walkers do not go near, just kill it as it respawns (dont worry, it respawns in seconds, literally)

 

 

 

Also the Abyssal Demons in the fairy ring abyss are not aggressive, no need to worry about them,.

Ahem, yes, Fairy Rings seem to have blown past my suggestion...

 

 

 

But should you go with mine... don't worry, I do it and I've yet to be PK'd doing it.

anyway, if yuo need to get pouches it is because you just died, so yuo r not skulled and you are full prayer.

 

So you can take full guthan and a duel ring to teleback castle war.

 

I suppose you don't care about losing an emerald ring...No pker can attack inside so no risk at all.

 

If you say it is risky inside, you could die from leach in full guthan?? 8-)

only thing I will add is that once you get to a spot in the Abyss, stay put and wait for the monsters to go non agressive. THEN target the weak ones while not leaving the area.

you dont need the skill requirements to have the access to the fairy rings.

If you choose to use the abyss near Edgeville take;

 

monk robes

 

god book (guthix or zammy for attack bonus)

 

mace (best one you can weild) or if youve got good prayer any good weapon

 

a good prayer helm (white or intiate)

 

climbing boots

 

unholy ammy (attack bonus' as well as prayer)

 

ring of life

 

good gloves (metal gloves, ie. black, mith, addy)

 

some prayer pots (DO NOT FORGET THESE)

 

super set (just to speed the killing up)

 

tele runes (DONT FORGET THESE EITHER)

 

and if you want some food

 

 

 

Go to the zammy mage tele, then use prayer pots put protect from melee on then kill till you;

 

a) run out of prayer and prayer pot

 

b)get all the pouches you need

 

c)get bored

 

 

 

Now tele out and your done.

Sounds good, but... is the abyss area wilderness or is it non-wilderness?

No abyssal area is in the wilderness, even if you have to run through low level wilderness to enter if you cant use the fairy rings. That means you can not get pk-ed once you have entered, only on the way there. It's still possible to die to the monsters in the abyss of course, and since you get skulled when you enter you will loose everything if you die.

 

 

 

Regarding weapon: Do NOT take a whip, it simply do very little damage on the abyssal monsters, a dragon long sword is way better. I dont have personal exp of using other weapons in there.

 

 

 

I agree with everyone who said focus on the weak abyssal leeches. You can kill many of them in short time.

 

 

 

*if* you go to the abyss through the wilderness, do not tele out when you are done. Go to a rune altar and craft runes from all the essence you collected while killing the monsters first. Then you can tele to wherever you want ;)

Thans to the tips of fighting in the west have i got a medium pounch now. Now i am going to get a large pounch.
