Kashi
Hahaha, you're all going to hell ... When the bears rise up against the humans and take what is theirs!! My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.
Tigra00
Just have to put yourself in the animals shoes. Killing animals for food is 100% right and okay. That's nature! Abusing them for the hell of it is just...stupid! Animals don't understand like we do...If you beat an animal, for the rest of its life it will fear everything that looks remotely like you, i.e. every human on earth. I used to own a dog that was abused by it's owner and raped by other dogs (I guess it's called rape when it's interspecies, not mating.) and she was deathly afraid of people, except the 4 in my family because we always pet her and whatnot. She wouldn't go near other dogs at all, and she would have dreams about it apparently, because she would kick and whine and whatnot in her sleep. It was pretty sad, but yea. Think you see my point. I'm all for eating a cow any day of the week, but beating a cow with a pipe isn't cool. :P The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! xxsheepxx
*Yawn* Where did you find that, a PETA website? It sounds so highly exaggurated that I can't even believe any of it. The picture in my mind while reading that was Whinnie the Pooh commiting suicide via disemboweling himself. Lets not even get to the fact that it's probably impossible for an animal to commit suicide considering their only instinct is to live. Horrible crap like that happens all the time, and it's absolutely rediculously bad, but this just sounds like total BS that PETA would put on their website. Last time I looked at their website, I ended up feeling more sorry for humans than animals. :P Ahem, anyways, if this were indeed true, and not 100% fabrication of exagguration, all I can say is "What the hell?" and "Why?!" Why would anyone want gallbladder "juice" from ANY creature? What use could this possibly have?! Why a bear? What the hell. I agree, this does sound like a load of bull to be honest. I mean, some parts are incredibly exagerated... :? . Not that i'd care if it did happen to be true anyways. Yeah, I agree. AND seriously, if you were gullible enough to believe that, something's wrong with you. AND, I doubt even if they had those, they wouldn't let people see them sucking the juice out of their gallbladders. AND, if that makes you cry like a little girl, you need some growing up to do. darkmage099
How can you not care. It's morally wrong (according to my values). I just think you guys are cruel. And about the comparison to ants and bugs, no one said anything about not saying anything when ants get killed. It's just that they have fast reproductive patterns and are quickly replaced. Does that make it wrong to kill to kill them? Yes. It's just no one says anythign because ..voila! another thousand are born. I can understand if something was happening to a friend or family member or someone close, but common! Some random animal thousands of miles away?... Why should we care? It's the principle of the thing. I don't care because it isn't me. I could care less what is happening to some animal, because it isn't me or someone close to me. So, quite frankly, I just don't care. Excellent mindset, I'm sure everyone loves extreme self-centeredness.
Nadril
I still fail to see the principle of the whole thing. Am I supposed to feel sad that some animal is getting tortured somewhere? I should have made a comparison between animals and humans. Animals I really don't care about that much. Unless it was a close pet of mine, or something of the sort, I really just can not feel any greif over an animal dying. Humans are a different sort. Whenever a tragedy happens I can understand (somewhat) what their familys and they must be going through. However, and you can flame me for this if you want, I can't actually feel bad for what's happening. It's the kind of thing where I know it's horrible, I know it's a tragedy and I understand that they are saddened by everything, but unless it is affecting me or a family member / close friend I just can't feel bad for them. Either way, I don't see myself as being self-centered. If you would only know me I am a helpful person, and i'm willing to help people around me if they need help. (even those that I may not know). But when a large scale tragedy happens I just can't help but not feel that bad for what had gone on. Perhaps it's being exposed to that sort of thing all day on and end, but I can't feel much for it. So, if that's me being self centered than i'm sorry, I guess i'm self centered :? . Either way, I just don't care that much about animals to get all worked up and sad about something like this. Not sad, but not apathetic. I'm not sad, but I still think it's ridiculous and should be stopped. People are torturing animals for money. I think that's sad. But I'm not sad. petey
lame, that bear would tear your face off if it wasnt in that big gay cage, think yourself lucky. this is the thing i dont get about people, it is in our instincts to hunt for food, same with most other animals, stop being a wussy and chow down on some bear paw. the49ronin
Typical man, thinking he is above the species, why doesn't anyone realize we are all still animals? We are not different, and we delude ourselves if we say so. Before science finally came to shine after the oppressive grip done upon Rome, it was said that we are the center of the solar system and that everything revolved around, it is still the same today about animals. ~Ooh, a creature got killed for its skin ~So what, it's just a dumb animal... This is the thing that gets me, if humans were in the wild without any of our fancy weapons, we would be huddling together for safety. And you might say we are smart becuase we can adapt stuff to protect ourselves, you know becuase creating enough deadly weapons to blow up the Earth 10.5x over is really smart..... <the49ronin> O_o methinks ard is acting mighty high and pretty -.- <Ard_Choille> I am pretty <Ard_Choille> fo shizzle
