I recently got 70 defense and can finally use the veracs thats been sitting in my bank since i snagged it for 5.4mil when construction came out (i wonder if thats still a good deal)

 

 

 

I can't use the flail yet unfortnetly. However, do you have any good tips for it? I can't think of anything besides using it like iniatiate armor with alot more saftey :)

 

 

 

 

 

And it looks cool =p. I cant think of what else to do with it though, perhaps there are other uses for just the armor part?

Sorry if I'm bursting a little bubble here but you can now get full veracs for well under 5m. But anyway, veracs is great for the pray bonus, use it when you fight high lvl creatures. The defence bonuses are much better than rune too, its like wearing initiate with rune on top lol, and then a bit more. Metal drags are a must if you have good enough combat to melee them, its great fun, but read a guide first :wink:

maybe buy dh body, cheaper, much better def, and i love the look with skirt and helm gratz on 70 def

What I meant is, everyone thinks that each individual Torag armour piece is better than all of the other ones. Not total set.

Verac's Skirt is basically equal to dharok's and Guthan's, I have all three so I would know. I don't have torag's though.

 

 

 

The helm is the same as Torag's and Guthan's, dharok's helm is weak though.

 

 

 

Prosolyte gives higher prayer bonus than Verac, but less defence, so using the body would be smart as the brassard has bad defence.

Guys, here is the correct one:

 

 

 

Helms:

 

 

 

Torags and Guthan's Helms have the same def, Dharok's inferior by 10 in all melee and ranged defence state, and Verac is inferior in ranged by something like 5 (certainly less than 10), but has better mage defence and prayer bonus.

 

 

 

Bodies:

 

 

 

Dharok's, Torags's AND Guthan's Body are exactly the same stats, Verac's is inferior by about 40 in all catgories, except Mage Attack (which is just -6), ranged attack (-2) and mage defence (0 rather than -5)

 

 

 

Legs:

 

 

 

Dharok's Legs and Torag's Legs are identical in stats, while Guthan's Skirt is inferior by 10 in all melee and ranged defence. Verac's skirt has identical melee def to Torag's legs and 6 less ranged defence, but has 0 mage defence (as opposed to -2) and +4 prayer bonus.

If I'm wrong then the tip it barrows guide is wrong. :P

Erm, sorry, while i appreciate the help...PLEASE stop getting off topic, this isnt really about other armors, although i appreciate it starting (i think) from a suggestion that others might be better.

 

 

 

I guess its my fault i havnt been able to get on and get 70 defense, but at the time it was selling for 7.4mil :-) [Got it during the con scare]

Alright, all I was trying to say, is the brassard stinks compared to all other barrows, and you may want to replace it. They all had to jump on my back to correct me for no reason.

Get attack up for the flail. I dont know what you plan to do with veracs, but here are some suggestions for you.
