And yes, I consider "beat boxing" as the same genre as rap.

Black_Flat
Your understanding is more than wrong. Beat Boxing is urban, not rap. Its like me saying Emos and Metal-heads are the same genre. Dont get it twisted Emo is nothing like Metal, where as beat boxing is often (well occasionaly) used in rap. IMO, beat boxing can be an art form but you have to be a pritty incredible beat boxer to impress me and so far only 1 person has done that, i cant remember his name but he sings and beat boxes at the same time. Really anyone with a microphone can do a beat boxing mix, and although it wasnt bad (not saying that at all) i don't believe that beat boxing is an art form. Like how music used to be an amazing art form until people that were great with equalizers made *exploitive deleted* singers sound good (*cough* pritty much any new age diva *cough* boy bands) BRING BACK THE OLD SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!! ne who before my mind wanders off, i'll summerize... Your not bad, but i don't feel as though beat boxing is a form of art since practically anyone with some spare time can do it. yada yada about old school and abusing dodgy singers.... Kryptic
Beatboxing is a form of art! Black, singing and beatboxing isn't anything big anymore. Razhel was the first to introduce this abstract idea, but now it is shunned because the concept became easy among all beat boxers... Others like Killa Kela and SFX Faith, brought the whole beat boxing level to a new standard. Watch a bit of their videos off of youtube and you will be surprised at their ability. It is a form of art - watch a bit more before judging it. It takes skill to beat box. Its not like random Joe can pick up the mic and become the next champ - NO! Thats complete BS. It takes lots of practice. Like singing, like playing an instrument it takes lots of time - Im bring BBoi back. eckered
If you don't know that song, go jump off a cliff.. :P *Jumps off a cliff* its eminem stupid... also, beat boxing and rap are two compleatly different things. rap originated in the southern united states, and its first moral were of poverty, and of trying to escape the bad life that many of the rappers had. slowly, it changed, into modern day 'go f*** a girl' rap beat boxing on the other hand has few or almost no words in it, and is done with only your mouth and posibly a needle... it doesnt have 'morals' and actually takes skill to do, as to rap being just rhyimg words and talking really fast. btw, i am actually a metal fan myself, but i went through a year where i was into rap/hiphop and all that stuff... i still listen to some of it rarely, but mostly its all KoRn and system of a down... wop wop
