September 30, 200619 yr I'm reading an epic poem right now called Beowulf. It was composed in the 8th century A.D. by an unknown author. Basically, it's your average heroic tale about a warrior saving a kingdom from a/some monster(s). omg, i was taking a reading test at school today and part of that poem came up with a question about it, from the small section i read i was blown away by it, its a great poem and i'd love to read the whole thing Yeah, it's alright. I mean it's really predictable and obvious. It has so many things in it that are utterly impossible. A guy dives in a lake with chainmail and a sword on and stays down there for 3 hours. He fights a monster (he kills it) then still has the energy to take its head which takes 4 regular men to carry as well as a giant's sword hilt all the way to the surface of the lake. What the bloody hell. I've read a lot of books this year. Ender's Game, A Tale of Two Cities, I'm about to read The Odyssey, Great Expectations, translations of the Qu'ran, and many more.
