Kuroi_Ame
I've seen on some people's avatars...signatures, etc. where the background, or some part of it is invisible! I know I've asked this question before, but the answers I got were invalid...they didn't help :shame: . So, now, I am being a tad bit more specific....How can I, if I can, make the background/white areas on my drawings "invisible" on ADOBE IMAGEREADY? Many thanks, Kuroi Ame do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
pryomancer
You have that that in your sig already lol all you need to do is make the canvas, then make whichever areas you want transparent, then save the file as a .gif, no other file extension works
Kuroi_Ame
I didn't make the sig. Woopidoo2 did. Thanks, I'll try it, dunno if it will work because I'm not sure how exactly to do that...which is what my question was.. __ kuroi do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
the_trinity_11
While this topic is up...May i ask if theres a way to do it on MSpaint? PLAY this awesome game...Clicky
Kuroi_Ame
I know for a fact that you cannot do it in MSPaint, but I think when you download the trial of Photoshop CS2, you get imageready free, so if you can make things transparent that way, then you got a free way to do it. But I still don't know how! :l ___ kuroi do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion
Stoop111
-Make a new transparent layer (you know, the grid of grey and white?) -Delete the backround layer so only the transparent layer exists. -Draw in that tranparent layer as much as you want, anypart that shows the grey and white grid will be transparent when you are done. -Save as a .gif -Upload you pic. I hope this works with imageready. Isn't it lovely how having an opinion makes you hated around here?

terley
erm, well, when you go to save it make sure the background is transparent, with no hidden layers. Like this one, look at my layers box. http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/6833/1qc8.png and when you go to save it as a gif make sure the transparency is ticked. Other than that I have no idea why yours has a red background.. :-k

If I don't have a program, I'll betcha one of my brothers would. :)

terley
I heard that in the new windows vista, paint has been totally updated to photoshop standards, but after a look I don't think so. But maybe they added a transparency option? http://gearmedia.ign.com/gear/image/art ... 734469.jpg Im going to either be an Animator or an Illustrator pjb21 \ EDIT, after some more searching I think I was right, well they're definately working on it.. http://www.getpaint.net/screenshots.html
