October 21, 200619 yr I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the vambraces give you a negative bonus to magic. Maybe you should use gloves instead? This signature is intentionally left blank.
October 21, 200619 yr Firstly, NEVER wear vambraces when using magic, they give you a large negative bonus to magic. Use gloves, they have no effect on magic. The Stronghold of Security boots also have a negative bonus for ranged attacks, and perhaps magic atks too. Apart from that, you have got it all right =D>

October 21, 200619 yr Some pkers argue that for melee, the strength ammy is better than the power ammy. Otherwise, just change the boots and vambs like the others said and you should be set :) As for the question mark in your ranged setup, yes power ammy is the best. Accuracy ammy only offers attack bonuses, and even then, these bonuses are lower than the attack bonuses provided by the power ammy. Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^ Or else I shall feast upon your soul!!! :twisted:

October 21, 200619 yr Mage: Wizard hat (BLUE) Wizard robe (blue or black) Magic ammy, Power is an alternative to trade a little attack for defence. Normal leather boots & gloves/vams. Toughest mage spot (F2P) to fill is the legs: I usually favour leather chaps, with a small melee defence bonus and no penalty, or even studded chaps - though -5 to attack, a decent amount of defence, though best to remove them once entrenched in a safe spot. Alternatives: 1. Blue skirt (no stats, but completes the blue Wiz look) 2. Priest bottom (completes the black Wiz look, some prayer boost) 3. Monk robe bottom (the best for a praying mage) NB. Even trimmed Wizard bottom/skirt has no bonuses. As mentioned, the stronghold boots have mage/range attack penalties and only slightly higher defence than leather.
October 21, 200619 yr Another alternative for the mage legs is a shade robe, i think it is just as good as a monks robe bottom (perhaps -1 prayer less?)
