-COP MOD- these mods are only like 4 people at the most. They will go around each forum and either lock spam threads or move threads that are in the wrong forum. thus making the real moderator job less annoying of deleted hundreds of those spam threads each hour.

And what will the 'real' mods do?

I found the idea of doing this with 4 people funnier then the idea in itself :). Come on, we got a huge moderator team, we get litterly hundreds of spam post per day, how can 4 people possibly manage that?

What makes a Cop-Mod any different from a regular mod, and why does tipit need them?

I believe that what you are suggesting is very close to the functions of our existing moderating staff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Currently, our Moderating Team consists of Local and Global Moderators. Local Moderators are more focused on the individual forums they've picked to moderate. Global Moderators, while also listed as Moderators on specific forums, moderate all forums. We all police for spam using our own methodology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All in all, our system works like a well-oiled machine. Even so, we do count on you all to keep an eye out and use the report button too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thanks for the idea. It's not a bad idea, it's just that we already do what you are suggesting...just not in "cop" sorta way.
