smartme
Hello! I'm back! I've been gone since before the summer and decided that Runescape would be an effective way to help me concentrate while doing my calc homework in college (no joke) Anyways, I'm combat lvl97 with 1469 old skills if that helps you in your judgement I would like to know the best equipment for me to use while training my combat lvl with Bones to Peaches. I don't want anything barrows or otherwise degrading if such things exist now. I train at the bandits. Is there a better semi-afk place nowadays? Currently I use rune body/legs, whip, frem helm, barrows gloves, rune boots, sara cape, glory ammy, ring of life, and the [bleep]y tez shield thing. I want to know if I should upgrade something and at what expense? Basically, I'd like to know what new equipment has come out since the Fury ammy (last update I remember) which I may want to consider buying. Thank-you in advance! -smartme
TeeBeaun
Get dragon legs, much better than rune, close to barrows and dosnt degrade.
icecube
There hasn't been very much new armour, if any at all, that has come out since you last played. Only thing you can upgrade to now is Dragon armour. D-Legs, D-Med, D-Square and D-Chain.

JoeDaStudd
I would say D-med or D-shield mainly due to the price of the items and when you compare it to the def bonus its not that good. Although you dont like the degrading barrows armour it is the best. Guthans at the bandits is said to be good (no need for food). The armour takes 15 hour of combat to degrade fully, thats a lot of exp/drops and costs a total of 330k per set. For the money Torags has great defence and cost the least (well of the melee sets). Sorry if this was no help. chenw
Get dragon legs, much better than rune, close to barrows and dosnt degrade. That should be the other way round. Dragon legs are close to rune and barrows is much better than d legs. If you want to compare the stats, Dragon med, Chain and legs are about 70 less in all melee and ranged def stats compared to Torag's/Guthan's/Dharok's equivalent parts. BTW, Torag's set costs the same as D square and d Med) 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. nerdattack16
TYVM for the input also, any coments on the new rune defender thing vs obby shield? Obby shield > Defenders ~ defence Obby shield < Defenders ~ offence Defenders are harder to obtain though. djp2rr
If u have done horror from the deep quest, Dags under lighthouse are good exp, they don't hit hard and drop plenty of bones (for b2p). The armour you currently got will be adaquate for this. It is what I use (but with rune defender)...

Also, how do they compare to Pest Control in the rare event I actually want to pay attention during my training?
djp2rr
I prefer Dags, because u r always hitting high, but I don't train there often myself. I only tend to train on wot ever my slayer master assigns to me (Fire Giants at the mo)... Pest control is way the quickest way to lvl up, join a 90+ pest control group (like affliction) for very fast games and levelling... \
full_metal
Third age armor is now the best, but it is incredibly expensive i believe.
