darkmage099
Welcome. This is Dark's picks for the night (should I start a thread for this...) This is my speculation on what will happen, and who I want to win. BOS vs. FLA: I think Boston has had a good streak of wins and will continue against the struggling Florida Panthers. I, personally, don't give a -- who wins. wrong TBL vs. BUF: I think Buffalo will pull this one out. They haven't been so strong in the past couple if games, but quite frankly, TB is a weak team. I would rather TB win though. I want BUF to drop in the standings a bit. right PIT vs. PHI: PIT definitely. No questions asked. right NSH vs. CLS: NSH will win. CLS is way too weak. Once again, I want the underdog to win. I am not a big fan of Nashville. right NYI vs. TOR: This will be a close one but TOR is a strong team. I think TOR has an overwhelming offense. I am not too sure, however, about their new goalie that they have to put in. This will definitely be a close one.right MIN vs. OTT: Ottawa will win, and I want them to win. MIN has struggled the past couple of games. OTT has won the past 2 out of 3 games. Despite their horrific record, they are the only team to beat BUF twice. Rolston is also suffering. right COL vs. DAL: I'm going to watch this game on Versus tonight. I think DAL will win. Although COL is getting back on track and DAL is suffering, I think Dallas will just come out with a win...I want COL to win. right Stay tuned for tomorrow nights forecast....jk Not bad. Today's forecast. I know I am a little late. NYR vs CAR-- Carolina is the better teams and I want them to win. I don't like Carolina though. I just don't want NY to win. Carolina has a better offense IMO. Although Jaromir Jagr is amazing, NYR don't have the power to make it thourgh. I'm not too confident with my choice on this one. EDM vs CAL- CLOSE ONE! RIVALRY! EDM argument- They are 8-2 at home and have had a long rest. They seem to play fantastic at home. They have a huge chance at winning this CAL argument- They are on a 6 game winning streak and they want to make it 7. They are hot right now! We'll see how it plays out. I want EDM to win obviously. ANH vs SJ- I'd rather see SJ win. I don't exactly like Anaheim. I like players on the team but not the team as a whole. I like JS Gigy (one of my fantasy goalies along with Roloson). This should be a good matchup considering they are the top teams in the western conference. Post your thoughts? Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar! ThurinEthir
Tomorrow is one of my "matches of the year". Bruins vs. Penguins on Thanksgiving Eve. Awesome...I'll edit my picks for tomorrow into this post later, as in tomorrow. EDIT: TOR vs. BUF: Buffalo. 7-4 Buffalo. 1-0 for me. OTT vs. PHI: Ottawa. 3-2 Ottawa in OT. 2-0 for me ATL vs. WAS: Atlanta. 4-2 ATL. 3-0. STL vs. CBJ: I don't care, but I'll say St. Louis. 4-3 in SO. 4-0 VAN vs. DET: Red Wings. MIN vs. MTL: Ugh, I hate those Montreal Canadiens. The team, not the nationality. So don't think I'm racist. I just like the Bruins. Who are rivals with the Habs. So boo Canadiens/Habs. Go Wild! But I'll have to say that Montreal wins in OT. Possibly a shootout. No OT or SO, but a Habs win, 4-2. 5-0. CAR vs. NYI: Carolina? Agh, Isles won. 4-2. I'm 5-1. BOS vs. PIT: Oh boy. I'm cheering for the Bruins as the Pens don't need the points as much, but I think the Pens will win. Hope will win: B's. Think will win: Pens. See below...5-1-1 TBL vs. FLA: Ooh, Florida battle. Lightning in OT. No OT, but Lightning win, 6-4. Me: 6-1-1. NSH vs. DAL: Um...Predators? Aw, 1-0 Stars. 6-2-1 for me. ANA vs. COL: I like Ducks. In OT maybe. OT yes, Ducks win no. Can I get half credit? (I'll do this for the PIT vs. BOS too.) 6-2-2. NJD vs. PHX: Devils. I didn't care...Devils lose. 3-1. 6-3-2. CHI vs. CGY: Flames. Flames, 4-1. 7-3-2. LAK vs. SJS: Sharks. 6-3 Sharks. 8-3-2. Pretty good for me. Now, the Bruins game. I didn't watch the whole thing. But I watched the OT and SO. It was pretty much as close to a tie as you can get. Can I get a win for this? (Tim Thomas = Unbelievable.) A run through for the goals... Recchi: Turnover, goal. Chistov: Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, deflection, goal. Sturm: Bergeron had a great set-up. Bergeron deserves the A (Both assist and alternate captain.) Chara: He shoots, he scores! If you can stop a Chara one-timed slapshot 9 times out of 10, you must be Tim Thomas. Malkin: Turnovers kill. Recchi: How do you stop a 6 on 4? You don't. Especially when you're being screened. And the guy goers top shelf when you're on the ground. SO: Ouellet: That's why you might want to think twice before taking a wild slapshot. You might miss the net. Sturm: The Thornton trade last year wasn't so bad after all. The B's get a speedy lefty. He's going to score win that move... Malkin: Right at Thomas. Bergeron: Oh well. Gonchar: Hits the post. insane
Toronto plays Buffalo in half an hour. Although I'd love the Leafs to win I just don't think they can pull this one off. The Sabres have Afinogenov and Miller back, so they are healthier, albeit not totally healthy - but then again, they don't need to be healthy to be awesome. insane
Bleh, Buffalo won. Miller stole the game from Toronto in the last five minutes by robbing 3 amazing scoring chances. The score was 7-4, though two of Buffalo's goals were empty netters.

Thaulsis
Colorado won in a shootout but almost lost it. It isn't often that a team is being outshot by 30 halfway through the second (Ducks third shot was about 8 minutes into the second). But of course after that time, the Avalanche slowed down and the Ducks picked it up... The Ducks went on to put the puck in the net three times after that - with one being dissallowed due to a kick. darkmage099
BOS-PIT- who cares? You have problems. Do I really need the sarcasm tags? Editing results into my other post after this... Well, I don't care a lot for either teams. One of them winning or losing won't greatly hurt or help one of my favoured teams. I am soo happy that Montreal won though. Soooo happy. 1. I want MIN to lose so that EDM can clinch the division eventually 2. I like Montreal better than MIN. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar! Thaulsis
1. Firebird75
Vancouver is probably going to cream Nashville, but they looked very weak letting 2 goals in during the 2nd against Detroit.

Nashville is good....Vancouver either does amazing or crappy. I like the Sedin brothers, Naslund, Morrison, Ohlund, Salo, and Luongo is okay. ThurinEthir
Must...Not...Let...Thread...Die... B's lost today to Carolina. It's not like they had a chance... Tomorrow is round 3, Insane! And Tuesday is round 4! I predict they'll split it. Not sure who wins which one, but having the Bruins win 3 out of 4 games against the Leafs in November is unrealistic. 1canadian1
Wow Canucks play Colorado tomorrow. Luongo and the defence need to step it up. Daniel Sedin is injured with pulled abdominal muscle I think. He might play or it might be game-to-game. The Western Conference is tight so a win no matter how it happen's is needed. Thaulsis
The Canadiens in my opinion are easily the most underrated team in the league. Their my sleeper pick in the East ;) Darkmage: I think your the first Oiler fan i've met that wouldn't mind the Flames taking the division. I got to humbly disagree with you on Colorado being too weak. Their main problem is their back end and hopefully Leopold will be able to solidify it. If not they have a bit of cap room to play with. Their offence has never been much of an issue. It's also distributed between all the lines. Not too mention, they have been in almost every game they've played. Most of their losses are by one goal (and a few more with an empty net as well) With a few bounces their way, they could easily compete. But obviously we're both biased :P I'm still saying it's WAY too early to call. But of course, watch Vancouver pull off a trade like San Jose did with Thornton just to spite me. I don't mind them taking the division because I like their players. However, they are my least favorite team in Canada. If they take the division, it just means that the many times when Edmonton beats them it'll mean more! Interesting thought: If Edmonton wins today, they will have the exact same record as Minnesota. Now, the Edmonton Oilers are in the middle of their 7 game home stand. If they win tonight, they will be 10-2 at home. Huge advantage! If they take the division....that'd be sweet as hell. If they can hold it...that'd be as sweet as heaven. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!
insane
Toronto blew out Washington 7 - 1. My only complaint is that McCabe and Kaberle only got one point each. I want to see them 1 and 2 in the league for defensemen scoring. They're 2 and 3 right now, with Pronger in the lead.

1canadian1
Chara with 5 goals, 8 assists, in 20 games is okay for him. With his talent and size he should be up in the top 5 in the league in defenceman for points. He is also a -3. RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.
