I got the first one right, but the second one got me for 65. The last one did 9. I could have sworn I had more hitpoints than that :S oh well. It seems to me like you'd be able to get him in view much faster if you were to wait just south of the center, like you did in your original vid, greatly reducing the chance of getting killed from off-screen. Although he seems to spawn just as fast as other waves which is worrying. hyjack01 Posted July 20, 2007 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Not sure if this is the correct thread, (and haven't read all 36 pages..) but here I go; I got my first firecape about 9- 10 months ago after a few attempts and some major luck with my prayer on Jad's attacks. 2-3 months later I lost it when lagging at Gargoyles. Until today I never went back to the cave because of my (bad) luck in choosing prayer when fighting Jad. (skillcapes are an excellent alternative :D ) I understood certain things had changed in the cave, but my maxed out def and rangelvl gave me great confidence I would see Jad in my first attempt.. However, I seemed to be a little optimistic.. :wall: The first 30 waves were peanuts but fighting my 2 or 3rd 360 I got a serious hit just after i turned on mageprayer. Still being surprised about this 'lag' I healed back with guthans till 72 hp for the next 360. Then switched on mageprayer for this mage devil. Mageprayersymbol above my head... BAM hit 30 and a second hit!!! 42!! dead... How is this possible? This can't be a little lag?? Hit twice with mage attack when mageprayer was clearly switched on? What has changed since last year? pbjdude91 Posted July 20, 2007 Share Posted July 20, 2007 The only thing I can think of for that is that you turned on your prayer as soon as you heard the attack. If you did, what I'm thinking is that the game has already registered the 360 attacking you with no prayer, so the mage prayer you put on had no effect. Oh yea, there's a glitch that JaGex has acknowledged and said they fixed it, but I've seen it a few more times. The mage prayer icon will appear lit up, but it's not above your head, and I think that it's not protecting you. Thankfully, I've never experienced it with a 360 around. I was attacking a 90 whilst watching out for the 360, I heard the sound and prayer switched quickly...It worked quite simply. Demoncorps Posted July 21, 2007 Share Posted July 21, 2007 prayer is bugged still, happened to me on jad.... #-o had my range prayer on, heard his mage attack charging so i pumped mage prayer on, symbol was over my head and the prayer was lit.... boom 97 no it was not my first time to jad, ive successfully gotten him to half many times, the healers overwhelm me =\ but as an added little extra, the diagonal moving is not a problem really, its a slight annoyance but I was still able top coast through the first 62 waves with some ease. ladies and gents, anything with good def bonuses (guthans) will greatly increase the ease of the diagonal moving change, you take hits from 180's pretty often now and the 90's are quite hard to seperate from 360's so u take more damage than u may be used to when u dont have adequate armor bonuses Yes, Mandos is my screen name, this sig isnt stolen, i just use this nick for everything else.
