Pure Picori's Road To A Level 3 Clue

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hey People,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, erm, this is my first time writing a blog, so yeah bare with me....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, the story is like this.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lately, i have taken a sudden interest in Treasure Trails. As most of us might know Treasure Trails (a.k.a clue scrolls) reap many rewards in which most of us would die to be just that lucky.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SO, i decided to start with the level 1 clues, I take a look around on these forums, taking interest in the Clues and random events forum. I managed to find out that Theiving the H.A.M (Humans Against Monsters) People was the best and most efficient way to go.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So i set myself up to go and take my chances at scoring a clue or two....

 

 

 

They came in like crazy, first i got a Sara Page 1, then a Black beret and the rewards kept coming. But this did not satisfy my hunger for more money.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So I decided to go for the level Two Clues, in which by looking at the forums, and my stats, decided that Dagganoths was the answer. A couple of days go by annihilating thousands of these beasts only to recieve TWO clue scrolls....

We all know that heraldric is just that great :cry:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then while reading the forums one day, I come across one topic saying something like z0mg ch3ck 0ut th15 p00nage r3ward!$!?$ I open it curiously to find that he had recieved a rangers hat...From a level 3

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After seeing this, I was inspired, I wanted those level 3 clues, I wanted a rangers hat of my own, and so my journey has begun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And so here I am.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So far, This is my killing record before i decided enough is enough and started up this blog....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

276 hellhounds

 

 

 

156 ankous

 

 

 

and about 200 cyclops

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, I am gonna see how long it will take me till i get a level 3 clue of my own.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will be killing Ankous....I will not be deposting runes, arrows, noted items into bank until i get a clue

Okay people, i fixed the pictures.....

here is some advice from a clue veteran (2 robin hood hats so far =) )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) kill jellies, they are tha monster that has given me the most clues, and i know of someone who averages 300k per hour killing jellies for clues

 

 

 

2) do you clue as quickly as possible, i have noticed (or it could be coincidence) that the quicker you do a clue the better the reward

 

 

 

3) careful with sara mages, they are very powerful. A lot of people say wear dragon hide and protect from melee, this is wrong, take an antipoison or two, some lobbies and full rune and protect from magic, the hit less this way, zammy mages in contrast are very easy, they should die before you empty your dd spec bar on them, nevertheless, protect from magic, they can hit hard

I can last about and hour, staying on low hp, on about 20 hp, i can 2 hit ankous so i dont waste a lot of food

Good luck bud! And thanks for that "HAMs are the best for lvl 1 clues" thingy. Ive always wanted to get wizzy g/wizzy t/wizzy boots off a clue ;O Just tryed them out. Got 1 clue in 2 mins, 2nd one in 30 seconds O_O

ive only ever gotten 3 clue scrolls and i only did two of them. (got 1 at like level 50 and had to do regicide so i dropped it...)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

one was form a green drag one from a blue and one from a cyclops in wars guild.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

first one i ever did was from the cyclops and i got a robing and a gith page. it made my day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

itll be worth it once you get your reward. and remember theyre not always gonna be great so dont get discouraged

being a good person having done ~20 clues 2 important things to remember

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) even though it is lvl 3 clue, don't expect multimillions quick. MOst of the time i usually got a piece of rune armor, some rune weapon/rune item, some runes and food

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) my personal opinion is that when i used to do slayer assignments, i usually got more clues than just spending hours at same place

My current slayer task is bloodvelds =\ i think i need to get one that actually drops lvl 3's =\

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so ummmm.... i am currently fishing sharks =) then goign to do tears of guthix before clue hunting again =)

i have noticed that about slayer tasks as well

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if i get a monster that actually drops clues, ill usually get at least one per task, maybe 2 or sometimes 3

If you're going to kill Ankou, go ahead and get a Salve Amulet from the Haunted Mine quest. (15% str)
