November 23, 200619 yr I never really understood thanksgiving. It's about giving thanks for the things you have, atleast, that was what I was always told. So, to give your thanks for the things you have, you eat as much as possible and more. That just seems weird. Sorry. So does getting chocolate and hunting for hard-boiled eggs on the day we remember Jesus rising from the dead. Just tradition i guess? Gamertag: King Arizona
November 23, 200619 yr So does getting chocolate and hunting for hard-boiled eggs on the day we remember Jesus rising from the dead. Just tradition i guess? Easter does actually celebrates something. And still stands for something up till today, other than eating as much as possible. No, it's about showing thanks by eating as much as possible and more. How do you show thanks trough that? Do you even think about giving thanks? Or is it just to stuff yourself as fast as possible. Because that's really what it sounds like from this thread. Does the thought of someone who has got it less good go trough your mind even once while you're eating all that stuff? November 23, 200619 yr Hmm.. I'm eating the usual.. Turkey, Cranbury Sauce (not me, I don't like it) Mashed potatoes, Candy yams, stuffing, Corn.. All the good stuff :D Happy Thanksgiving to everyone 8-) ~ReCk! :ohnoes:

We watch football, sit around the dinner tables, all say what were thankful for, say grace, and be "thankful" of the bounty of food we have. Originally it was about the Pilgrims and the Indians sharing food, but we all know how that really went down. If all that's too unbelievably disgusting for you, then be glad youre dutch I guess. November 23, 200619 yr Thanksgiving would be awesome or something similar here, loasda food... :D today I ate 2 mince pies and an advent calander in the spirit of xmas, does that count? :)

Sjeez, I think I am glad I'm Dutch. I guess I'll better leave this topic, so you can all congratulate eachother with all the things you have, before this gets locked. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
