November 25, 200619 yr Does anyone know how to do this? For a TV class I need to film someone on a computer and show what's on the screen. I just don't want the moving lines going up and down the screen. My teacher said that she knew of a resolution setting that removed this, but couldn't remember what to do exactly. I googled it, but couldn't find any results. Anyone have any idea if this is fixable? And if not, I could take the route of just recording my screen and taking it as a different shot. In that case, between camtasia and hyper, which doesn't have watermarks?

As far as I know it's impossible to get rid of, but the best option to try and lessen it would be to try and change the refresh rate if possible :) I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
November 25, 200619 yr I dont think you can just edit the lines out, you gotta avoid them altogether. 1. Get a converter that will plug into a computer and a TV 2. Get a camera (I used Sony DVCam) 3. Get an Audio Mixed (If sound is needed, if not skip) 4. Get some RCA and BNC Cords (See audio) 5. Hook the converter into your camera, and the mixer into you camera (if needed) 6. Grab a microphone, set your levels, and record! If you must tape the person sitting there tape it separate and edit it in. Well, thats how i did it. I had a class and we needed to show a tutorial for a computer program, thats how we did it (I think) might be kinda of hard to get access to. :-k Sig
November 25, 200619 yr You'll have to get the monitors refreshrate to match that of the camera... the reason the lines appear is because the monitor is "flashing" on and off at different times then the camera recording it... I think most camera's record at 24 FPS, but don't quote me on that because I really can't remember. Anyway, just try recording your monitor with different refresh rates, and then play it back. I doubt youll be able to get rid of the scrolling line, but you should at least be able to minimize it's effects. ...
November 25, 200619 yr have you tried using a tft monitor? I've found you don't get the lines on them.
November 25, 200619 yr Film an LCD or plasma screen. You wont have much luck doing it with a CRT sorry. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
