November 26, 200619 yr I am considering buying a Nintendo Wii. My uncle is the manager of a best buy and he keeps telling me to buy the system because he knows that I want it. There is only one problem. The controller! I have dont a lot of research and I have found nothing on whether or not the GameCube controller can be used with it. The Wii introduces a new remote controller that involves unique motions and sensors that guide movement in the game, and I dont seem to like it that much. If I can use the GC controller or not, I will buy the system, I just would REALLY like to be able to use a controller that I am used to. If you say yes, please supply some information to back that answer up, even maybe a link! Thanks, :XD:

November 26, 200619 yr It's intuitive enough to use the remote style controller. Most people who aren't used to video games and normally won't touch a controller have been having a great time with the remote kind. If it's getting used to it you're worried about, don't be. There are ports to plug in gamecube controllers to play GC games and Virtual Console, but new games use the remote.

November 26, 200619 yr You are able to use Nintendo Gamecube games along with 4 Controllers and 2 Memory packs, it all goes in the top part of the console. It's basically fully compatible with the Gamecube, so basically a free console included! All Wii information and great basically everything about the Wii - wii.ign.com
November 26, 200619 yr As it sounds like you already have a GC controller. Make sure you get Super Smash Bros Brawl when it gets released. It looks awesome. Over here in the UK I'm still waiting at Christmas for a Wii. They were doing this tour at this shopping mall I was at yesterday. Zelda looks sooo good.
