Correcting a misconception about Imps. (Or a recent change)

Perhaps it was recently added, but I just got 71 hunting and I wanted to clear up something a few posts made about imps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You do NOT need to persuade them to bank your items with multiple lines of conversation. You can simply use the option "bank" when right clicking them to instantly bank two items. I'm not sure if this was recently added, but it's important to note. This makes them more useful because you can bank very quickly

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They are still untradable.

 

 

 

As well, when you use the imp, you keep the box.

 

 

 

In my experience, a great area to catch imps is south of Falador.

 

 

 

*However the best area is the Karamaja Volcano (bernas)

sometimes when you bank with an imp they say they dont want to. if they do that then you have to persuade them

Another tip - I suggest putting the boxes on the road. Let the imps go to them, it's too hard to try to set them as they go.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They ARE attracted, once they get close enough.

I'm rather sure the previous poster has no idea what he's talking about. I think the bank option works 100% of the time without argument from the imp.

So, when you have an imp caught in your magical box, you can force him to deliver two items to your bank. Watch out, though: the imps are quite temperamental and will often turn down your demands

I see what you're saying, but my topic is about the fact that you no longer need to go through a long conversation to get them to bank.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've only banked a few times, so i'm unsure if they actually reject demands often AFTER you see the screen. I know what the knowledge base and update box say, but they've been wrong before.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It could be true though. Even still, you could always just click away and try to bank again and see what happens.

Best place to catch em is Karamja vulcano because there is so many of them there ;)

This is probably a stupid question, but after they bank stuff for you, do they come back to the box, or are they gone?

They're gone after you use the box.

Instead of clicking the bank, or going thought any conversation with the imp at all.... you can simply "use" the item that you want to bank with the imp. Easiest way to do it :D

holy poo, you can do such awesome stuff with that! lol, if someone takes you into the wildy and tries to scam you (dropping mystic tops to get you to lose your whip) you can bank the items really quick! that scam is now dead.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Uh oh, I just thought of something else...if these can be used in the wilderness, pking is now dead, people can bank all there stuff if they have a few boxes with them so pkers dont stand a chance :anxious:

And to the above poster: You still do need 71 hunter to actually catch and use the Imps. So, it might be changed, but at the same time there's still some requirement involved. A good bit of time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I spent hours working mine up to 71 from Wednesday to Saturday on my thanksgiving break. So don't expect pkers to utilize the boxes fully for a bit.
