You get pked going to the abyss, but once you're inside you're no longer in the wilderness.

PKers are semi-not really-often, getting PKed if you do it right is about 0%, maybe a teensy bit higher

In Soviet Russia, glass eats OTers.

Use world 9. In this world there are a lot of PKers around edgeville; most of these won't try to attack you, and the ones that do abyss PK there are usually very soon the targets of other PKers - because as many say, abyss PKers are usually the ones with less-than-adequite PKing skills.

Don't worry much about people who have melee or ranged gear on with their respective weapons, as these you can just run away from to the dark mage, and have him teleport you into the abyss. Mages are more of a problem because they can use spells to stop your movement, or prevent you from teleporting. For this reason it is reccomened that you bring a once click inventory based teleport, like an ectovial, or a teletablet if you don't have an ectovial, so you can quickly escape if they bind/ice you. If they teleblock you first you usually have enough time to run to the mage; fortunatly, that dosen't count as a 'teleport'. And you can logout and log back in to dispell the teleport block spell so you can get back to edgeville.

I've not done much Abyss Runecrafting, because every time I do there seem to be Abyss PKers =/

But they'll attack you one of two ways:

Regular Mage: Teleblock, Snare, attack. Hopefully you'll have time to run if you get teleblocked, and can get into the Abyss before the PKer Snares you (immobile for 10 seconds). If he's successful in the combo, that's gonna be trouble.

Ancient Mage: Ice Burst/Rush. This attack freezes you in place for 10/5 seconds, and does a lot of damage (up to 22/16). They usually do a few of these on you in a row.

Both kinds of mages like to come in to finish you off with a DDP++ special.

Your armor is one of the most important factors here. The better your armor, the less likely you are to be PKed. (1) Because the PKer knows his spells will work better against weaker ranger armor, so he's gonna keep an eye out for those in Red and Blue Dragonhide. (2) Most mages will splash an awful lot agains Black Dragonhide. Not so much with Blue.

In the end, whether the Runecrafter is wearing Blue or Black, the prize is the same: glory amulets. So, it's best to have 70 Range/Def and wear Black Dragonhide, and let the PKers go after the folks in weaker armor.

That being said, I'm one of the schmo's in Red, and seem to attract a lot of attention.

Maybe but if I saw someone wearing full dragon/Black Dragon I would try to kill him to get it.

No! You'll die if you try to kill that farmer!
nah whips should be as left as is. besides theyre the intestine of an abbysal demon (i think) have fun crafting that.

abyss pk'ers are tle lowest of the low. My friend is creating an anti-abyss pker character. He was abyss pk'ed and now is on a vengence.
