Lately, I've noticed that more and more people join clans/guilds/communities only if they become a leader of a group of the the clans. If they are are declined from the leadership position, they don't join! Note, I'm not talking about Co-Leaders of the clan, I'm referring leaders of a certain group in the clan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I find this a little strange if not interesting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What are your thoughts?

I have seen that, but they never not want to join. Lots of new players want to prove themselves in a clan by being some sort of leader, but they can just do it by being active.

..You must not hang around the big clan scene then, power struggles are more 20-50 member clan problems.

I do not believe this is a new thing. As far as I can remember, there has always been certain individuals who join in hope of climbing the ladder. A strong application will root these villains out easily.

Really I think people like having power. I mean, who really would turn down a high position if we *think* we can do it. Personal, these people have way too much ambition. If you really think you can be a good leader, get out and make your own clan.

If you've been in a clan long enough, you'll know it happens a lot. Like people say they were an admin at their old clan and all of a sudden, they wanna be admins in this clan too. Unfortunately, ranks are not transferable.

Actually, my amount of clans is probably higher then your age.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you try to recruit people that say "I want to be a leader" then they'll obviously say they want to be a leader.

I think they mean they join you clan, THEN they push to become a leader.

Yeah you're right, this just happened to us last month. They left with a good handful of members too.
